Jahlil and Jalil would suck. Need to hang onto those guys, even though I'm not confident.

Tucker might be gone. Doesn't have Oregon Commit or much other stuff on his twitter anymore. Hopefully florence might still stick with his commitment, from the Oregon tweets n pics he still has on his twitter.StevensTechU wrote:Jahlil and Jalil would suck. Re: Decommits from coaching change
They had 21 DBs on their roster at the start of the season. They have a ton of work to do to try and balance out the roster. Landing two more DBs is not going to help them. I would be surprised if they had committable offers.lmduck wrote:Yes!woundedknees wrote:Does USU not have an existing glut of DBs from the last couple recruiting cycles?

Not too sad to see the end of the "can't teach size" approach of evaluating and recruiting O-linemen. It only works when they are agile and not stiffs as well.

Well when your head coach, offensive coordinators and basically all your position coaches leave, there’s not much you can do!

Re: Decommits from coaching change
In no year or coaching change have I been less concerned about loss of Commits. We already were over limit and were going to have to push out a bunch of older players to make room for true freshmen. We were just going to get younger when being young has been a perpetual problem. Plus it will be easier to hit the transfer pool for positions of need if you have a scholarship or 2 open.
I believe the scholarship crunch and the need for Mario to tell a dozens of his recruits to hit the road was something he wasn't looking forward to.

I agree with this somewhat. There’s definitely some that I don’t mind losing, but guys like banks and Florence were ones I didn’t want to leave. Not to mention we haven’t yet seen the fallout, other than DJ James, of our current players who will hit the portal.GrandpaDuck wrote:In no year or coaching change have I been less concerned about loss of Commits. Re: Decommits from coaching change
I appreciate the guys that are sticking it out that committed to the school and not a coach.
