Hmm.. It's not looking like this will happen but I may be wrong. Tajh's dad was interviewed after the in-home from Coach Bollman and Sicilion and he said the visit was "the same as last time". He also said that he likes Oregon and he should go there. Also mentioned that going to tOSU would be "taking a chance with his career" and he would NOT have the best shot there..
Not sure how you guys feel when hearing quotes like this but it doesn't exactly make me think he's going to tOSU. Maybe it's just me but quotes from the parents are a little more assuring than some of your "gut feelings" .

Boyd's Dad wants him to go to Oregon because he doesn't think he is good enough to beat out Pryor, but is good enough to beat out the 3-4 QB's ahead of him on the depth chart there. If he is that scared of competition, he is better off at Oregon. We can get a stud QB next year.

Randux, you do know that everytime you go to any kind of Buckeye boards, your IQ drops a point or two right?

Well they do have the elitist syndrome so take that into account.

Okay, I guess I should have made my point. There is a growing sense there that it is down to Oregon and Clemson.

Very hard to trust much of anything coming from the Boyds in the last few days. They are all over the map. i think he goes for Clemson, but nothing would surprise with these guys.

I think I will be a lot more disappointed if he chooses Clemson than if he chooses tOSU. Clemson shouldn't be able to swoop in at the last minute and land him like that.MacDuck wrote:Very hard to trust much of anything coming from the Boyds in the last few days. Re: Boyd Thread on tOSU Board
my opinion Boyd is a far better qb than terrell Pryor while he is not the athlete that pryor is and for that matter not many are I feel that Boyd could in fact beat out Pryor for the qb spot. That being said if Boyd does in fact red shirt next year like many assume he will it may be quite the qb battle at tosu. Im hoping he comes here to Oregon cause he is an excellent prospect who regardless of depth could come in and compete. I really dont think its the end of the world if we do swing and miss on him, but certainly would love to have him.

Re: Boyd Thread on tOSU Board
Honestly, I would rather have Boyd go to Clemson than the *uckeyes. I would hate to see sweater-vest ruin another athlete's shot at becoming a star and I absolutely hate the midwestern corn-fed superfans who only come out of hibernation to go to tOSU games.

95% of me would like to see him be a Duck. There is that small percent of me that would like to see all the reactions when he picks one of the others. It's kind of like a car wreck....You never want to see one (or be in one) but you just have to slow down and look when you drive by. It will be like The Exorcist over on eDuck. Heads spinning, vomit spewing, finger pointing, name calling. Comedy at it's best.
If you're not a paid member of Talefeathers, you are missing out the on the yearly fun!

Re: Boyd Thread on tOSU Board
Obviously, it makes the most sense for Boyd to come to Oregon. If he doesn't though, I hope it's Clemson. Not only do I hate Ohio State, but their offense is boring.

Their offense IS boring. It's weird how boring it is with the talent the have. One more reason to not like them.

Re: Boyd Thread on tOSU Board
I am thinkin he goes to Ohio State...They seem to think that they need to gather the most valuable players in the country every year...And look where it gets em....
Another loss in a BCS game.......I spose there is something to be said for the yearly payday of a bcs game, but it sure SUCKS BIGTIME.....to lose ANY bowl game every year.....
We have had our years of bowl season shortcomings...and it doesnt taste very good....
Lets hope they continue to experience that foul taste...I cant wait until we finally meet their asses in a bowl game and kick em up and down the field....NOW, THAT WILL BE A MIGHTY TASTY MEAL.....

Re: Boyd Thread on tOSU Board
Part of the problem w/eDuck is many, many posters over there can handle any kind of bad news. They freak out if someone offers an opinion that isn't in line with the latest kool-aid.
