If it was Michigan I’d be worried, but Michigan State? Don’t think we have anything to worry about, plus we don’t have to worry about Michigan cause I’m sure their idiot fans ruined any chance he might flip to them with the hatred they’ve spewed towards him.

I agree that there normally would not be anything to worry about. However, NIL changes everything. Someone can literally offer him millions of dollars to sign with an inferior program in turmoil, with an inferior offensive system, and inferior talent surrounding him. It doesn't need to make any sense from a traditional recruiting standpoint, but enough money can make up for it.OregonFan4Life wrote:If it was Michigan I’d be worried, but Michigan State? Personally, I think Moore ends up at Oregon, but you can't just dismiss anything anymore when players can be bought, without even breaking any rules.

Technically buying a player is breaking the rules, the NCAA just doesn’t do anything about it cause they’re a worthless organization.gogreen55 wrote:I agree that there normally would not be anything to worry about. They can't do anything about it because buying players (errrr, signing them to NIL deals) is not against the rules. The terminology a person chooses to use is irrelevant when the end result is the same. Refer to Nico Iamaleava, who will be enrolling at Tennessee early in exchange for $8 million. Hopefully nobody involved with Michigan State makes that kind of offer to Moore.OregonFan4Life wrote:Technically buying a player is breaking the rules, the NCAA just doesn’t do anything about it cause they’re a worthless organization.

Basically what this is, is that the MSU guys on 247 just said that MSU is heating up their pursuit of Moore.
Again, I'm not at all worried about them flipping him so long as Dilly is still here

Who's to say some rich UO booster from PDX that that used to be CEO of a rather large sports related company hasn't already made such an offer? Is there any requirement that these deals be made public?gogreen55 wrote:They can't do anything about it because buying players (errrr, signing them to NIL deals) is not against the rules. The only requirement is that a player is only played for their name, image, and likeness and that the deals are not quid pro quo, meaning that they aren’t an exchange of services (so essentially you can’t say “if you commit to my school you get an NIL deal of $10M”), just literally someone getting paid for their worth, no strings attached. But given some of the deals we’ve seen we know that’s not the case, but again the NCAA won’t do anything about itEncinitasDuck wrote:Who's to say some rich UO booster from PDX that that used to be CEO of a rather large sports related company hasn't already made such an offer? Hope he still stays committed. If he stays, I can see alot of our top offense recruits staying. If he decommits. prepared to see a dominos on the offensive side of the ball.

Yes and No.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Have to assume he knows the Dillingham news.
I'd say he knew that Dilly/ASU were courting but I don't know if he knew about the whole "flying to Zona tonight" aspect. That said, he sure looked like someone who isn't wavering on his choice.
