In reflection of National Signing Day

Post by jimmy12 »

I hope people realize how close we were to signing an Alabama-esque class.

We nearly had:

Payton Bowen S 5*
Kayden Proctor OT 5*
Dante Moore QB 5*
David Hicks DT 5*

We got:

Matayo Uiagalelei DE / TE 5*
Jurrion Dickey WR 5*

Likely to get:

Jordan Burch 5*

Laslty, have a shot at:

Nyckoles Harbor ATH 5*

Yes, I get that NIL was spread around to put us back in the game for some of these players when Moore left for UCLA, but it's still insane how close we are to putting together a top 2-3 class. Things are really looking up. Oh, and these guys can coach. Cristobal is in his proof year and he made Justin Herbert look mediocre. That's hard to do. I prefer Lanning.

Makes me wonder if Moore decommited earlier and his allocated NIL money got dispersed earlier, would we have been able to sign any of the close misses. (Bowen, Proctor, Hicks, etc.)
