The main issue is the LB’s right now. Bassa and Jacobs have taken a step back from last season, not sure why.

Jacobs hasn’t played all game and Bassa has been on the field for like 5 plays.

Bassa was a liability at times against Boise.

The point is they are both injured and barely playing. Bassa got hurt in the first drive of the Idaho game. Jacobs has barely played in each game.

I will say this, this might be strategic. Dan might be thinking they cannot do this for 4 quarters, so he is gonna let State burn themselves out trying to keep this up. I would agree with this, they cannot complete with our 2 and 3's so if they think they can keep their first team on the field the entire game milking the clock that could backfire.

I see, that 100% could be the reasons for their struggling. I do like Boettcher but he doesn’t compare to a healthy Bassa and Jacobs.
