I turned it on a few minutes before they did they segment on Sauphia. It was enjoyable to watch Dan and Saban together and see the admiration that Nick has for him. Also hilarious to see Saban hold the ball on the kick.

Really means nothing if Jhop and DSA guy both report he's probable. These guys probably have the same sources and the team knows how to use them. Don't mean that in a bad way, it's just the nature of the beast.

Agreed. Sources under the Lanning regime aren’t real sources. JHop is only fed what the team wants him to know.pezsez1 wrote:Really means nothing if Jhop and DSA guy both report he's probable. OK folks, I was supremely confident Oregon was going to win this, and Burch was literally my #1 reason.
To those of you who are confident now, what are your keys to success? What do you think will happen to result in the Oregon win?
I'm not doom and gloom over here, I know we still have a shot, but looking for a little optimism here from anyone who thinks we might still have the upper hand.

Has anyone else seen the UW vs Iowa score? Iowa just beat them 40-16. UW just beat Michigan last week and Iowa got manhandled by Ohio State!
Does this mean that Iowa is better than we thought or are UW & Michigan both worse than we thought? Was it just a bad matchup for UW?
I think Iowa is better than advertised. They only lost to #11 Iowa State earlier this season by one point, they beat a decent Minnesota team by 17 points and now trampled UW by 24, yet they lost by 28 to Ohio State.
I'm starting to get nervous about the Ducks against Ohio State. They may actually be an ELITE team and we may have our hands full tonight.

Still looking for reasons to be optimistic! What's the plan without Burch?

Exactly, win or lose playing Ohio State is a good thing for Oregon with how elite they are. We haven’t had a conference foe to the level of Ohio State for a long time and now that Harbaugh is gone and Michigan isn’t able to cheat Ohio State is the gold standard of the B1G. I just wish Oregon and Ohio State could play every year! You can’t win a natty if you can’t beat Ohio State so I know this matchup going forward will only improve Lanning’s ability to win a natty for Oregon. Not trying to say Oregon will lose today but just that this matchup going forward is only good for Oregon.lmduck wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 2:32 pm They may not be elite, they are elite!

To me, the UW-Iowa score is just more evidence that traveling is hard in college football. Want more? USC is actually hanging with Penn State after losing at Minnesota last week. Is USC really that good? No, the road is that good, and the road is on Oregon's team this afternoon. So if you are at the game, just cheer really loud. It doesn't work miracles, but it obviously helps.

I have a close friend at the game and he just texted there’s a ton of Ohio State fans. I was worried duck fans were going to sell their tickets to Ohio State fans to make money.

Doesn't look like Burch will be playing. Going to need big games from Tuioti, Matayo, and a few other young DL.

Sadly, our cheap ass fans decided they wanted to pay off their season tickets by selling their tickets this game to Ohio fans. Home field advantage nullified.
