It is even worse than that. Ryan, when asked about Autzen noise being 'real' gave a pathetic response to the effect of 'When you go on the road you will play in some Great environments. And this was a good environment tonight, and umm...."
I found that to be so dismissive and insulting! Couldn't even say Autzen was a Great...only good? WTF?
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Ryan Day sure seems like a deflecting type of coach. Glad we have Dan.
For me, the indelible memory will the sustained crowd noise. Never seen it that consistent for en entire game. Perhaps I'm conflating memories, but I think the contrast in noise from series to series has been more dramatic (and perhaps louder) for some games. Part of that was the game stayed incredibly close throughout. Having a super tight game against an Elite opponent has rarely, if ever, happened to my recollection.

I wasn’t there Saturday but what I could hear over the TV reminded me of the Michigan game in ‘03, which I was at. Michigan was #3 and while we got up by 18 in the 1st half, it was still a close game with some huge moments. I was 13 but that has always been peak Autzen to me.
The crowd was loud and into it. Brought back memories of old school Autzen. Loud every time osu had the ball even if it was first down. Crowd was knowledgeable and screamed when they were in the huddle and then quiet when we had the ball. It actually cranked up a notch which I didn’t think was possible on osu’s last drive. Go Ducks!!!

Some were very gracious and complimentary , others were obnoxious.
Spoke with a couple who said it was a great game and the ducks totally deserved the win. Felt the Buckeyes did not play well. Said Oregon was the better team on Saturday.
Encountered some others who were rude and mouthy and probably had way too much to drink.

Yeah, I had similar experiences and I feel like a lot of it was based on the age of the fan, which is probably pretty typical of all fan bases. The older Ohio St. fans generally talked about it being a great time and good game. In line for the bathroom before the game, I was surrounded by younger fans and they were incredibly smug and arrogant talking about it being a high school stadium and expecting at minimum a 35 point win. I wish I could have sat near them throughout the game. I would have loved to see their reactions.

I had some of the younger, 'we're gonna win by at least 35 points' in front of me. Every time osu scored they turned around and reminded me that it was only going to get worse.
At the end of the game I told them I hoped they had a good trip home.
Was that the most away fans you’ve seen in Autzen? I was a little nervous before the game that Ohio state fans would travel well and Oregon fans would wanna make money off this game.

I was told by someone that was there that was the second most fans they’ve seen at Autzen only behind Nebraska and he was at both games.
Supposedly, Ohio State fans thought ahead and bought season tickets in Eugene. If that is true, there should be a good amount of tickets for sale to the rest of the home games.
