I just saw this on ESPN. Nothing unexpected.

Honestly, if we were to have a significant injury on offense, I'm glad it was at WR because of the depth we have there.

It would be great if Tez could make it back for the Big-10 CG, assuming we make it.

Who was the offensive lineman that had his ankle rolled up on? Any news on him yet? That's an area where we don't have much depth.

"Johnson spent around two minutes in the injury tent before heading into the locker room with Oregon's training staff, according to CBS sideline reporter Jenny Dell. Johnson appeared to be holding his shoulder while walking out of the injury tent. Johnson had an X-ray and Oregon coach Dan Lanning did not have any comment for the CBS broadcast."

Zachary Neel reporting that the goal is to have him back by the B1G championship game, though I’m assuming Lanning won’t let the team overlook anyone on the remaining schedule.

Indications after the game was that Harper wouldn't miss much time, if any.

Zachary Neel reporting that the goal is to have him back by the B1G championship game, though I’m assuming Lanning won’t let the team overlook anyone on the remaining schedule.

That would give him at least 4 full weeks to recover since we have a bye week between Wisconsin and UW. 5 weeks if we make the CCG.

Figured, based on Tez reaction when he first got hurt. It didn’t seem like the reaction someone has when they break a bone. If you watch him he gets up, then realizes something isn’t right.

I thought it was a collarbone break when it happened, but could see it being a joint sprain. I had a friend growing up who only missed 4-5 weeks of football when he broke his collarbone, but Tez is 4-5 years older than he was. In any case, I don't think Tez needs to make it back until the playoffs. The conference championship is a glorified scrimmage.

Wouldn't the conference championship determine who gets a bye week? That seems like a pretty huge prize unless you think a bye wouldn't be to our advantage.

If you look at current projections for the playoffs it almost appears easier being the 5 seed than the 1 seed, getting a G5 team at home first then the Big-12 champ in the second round. However the bye is huge and for pride reasons going undefeated in the B1G and winning it in the first year would be amazing, but yes, at this point conference championships don’t mean much and IMO they should be replaced with a 13th regular season game or something else.

I'd personally prefer a home playoff game instead of a bye if an all-powerful wizard or genie or something could guarantee nobody would get injured. I think a home game against anyone right now is pretty much a guaranteed win. Nobody this year is better than Oregon at Autzen. (Which rocks!) And I also like the idea of going into the second round with recent game action & not being rusty.

But injuries are a real thing and I want the Ducks at full strength as much as possible.

With where we're currently at, I won't sweat it if we do lose the B1G CG but since we're already going to play in it, its better to win it than lose it and have to play the extra game, even if its a home game.

For starters as #1 we'd be locked into either the Rose for the Quarterfinal and then get the Cotton Bowl over the Orange Bowl for the Semi-final and I think giving our fans and the team shorter trips will be beneficial. Then it's the repeated wear and tear on the body that may not show up in the Quarterfinal, but maybe it does by the Semi's.

Great news. We will absolutely need him in the playoffs but will be fine until then. As always, this will give some other guys snaps they wouldn’t get otherwise and we’ll be better for it.

My first instinct was separated shoulder. The shoulder wasn’t hanging limp. I had a grade III in march. It wasn’t until adrenaline wore off that i saw/felt anything wrong and had full range of motion (but hurt like a bastard to do so for some time). A grade I or II can a 4-8 week injury depending on severity. IV and up requires surgery

I'm leary of the narrative that somehow losing the conference championship game would guarantee us #5 in the playoffs. I think the east coast bias would jump on the chance to drop Oregon as low as possible. You know it's true.
