Thanks! Someone I know personally texted that the OC makes the personnel decision, guess they don’t know football as much as I thought.StevensTechU wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:25 pmThe position coach usually makes that call.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:01 pm OK defense be big here!
I really don’t understand why Stein put Limar in.

Didn't see the game today as I was at the state Volleyball tournament but I did see Dan treating it like senior night of high school giving Connerly a 2pt carry. LMFAO

I was wondering who the reporter was also, what a dirty leading question trying to bait Lanning into a political view. I agree dip s*** question by a dip s***.DCfeatherbutt wrote: Sun Nov 10, 2024 7:14 am Who is the dipsh!t reporter that basically tried to get DL to denounce the results of the election? WTF?

Yeah that was the dumbest question I’ve ever heard at a postgame press conference. Lanning handled it like a champ though.

Thoughts postgame-
That was the worst our OL has looked since the early season. Not sure if it was due to Iuli being in the lineup or not, so I'll have to rewatch. Maryland does have a pretty good DL group.
Combine the above with the drops and receivers' inability to separate, you get the game from Gabriel that we saw.
Sadiq is already better than Ferguson.
No unit on the defensive played great. Defensive backs played soft. Linebackers got confused. Harmon didn't show up like he usually does (though, shout out to how many pass breakups the DL had, that was incredible).
Stein didn't call a bad game. I skimmed through the comments and kept seeing that and disagree. He wasn't vanilla. He tried setting the Maryland defense up. He wasn't overly cute. The team just didn't execute and often put themselves in bad positions.
Talent won the day.

Agree- not the time or place for it and it has nothing to do with Duck football.OregonFan4Life wrote:Yeah that was the dumbest question I’ve ever heard at a postgame press conference. Lanning handled it like a champ though.

Very good summary and the bottom line, they won by 21 points.StevensTechU wrote:Thoughts postgame-

Amazing how bad we can look and at the end of the game we win by 21. Gonna take a better overall effort in Camp Randall, or we get our first L.

I do think that Maryland was especially well prepared for this game, benefitting from their bye week. And as I mentioned earlier, the Badgers will also be coming off of a bye when they host the Ducks this week. Hopefully the Ducks will be ready to execute cleaner (does not look like weather will be any kind of factor).

What was the question and how did Lanning respond?Yeah that was the dumbest question I’ve ever heard at a postgame press conference. Lanning handled it like a champ though.
Agree, dumb to bring politics into this. A free and fair election isn't some grave injustice that requires commentary. (And I say this as someone who wasn't thrilled by the outcome.)

The question (paraphrasing) was about the results on Tuesday. Dan indicated the team just works and said he is passionate about the issue of gun violence and proud to live in the country. He shut it down very effectively.pezsez1 wrote:What was the question and how did Lanning respond?Yeah that was the dumbest question I’ve ever heard at a postgame press conference. It was a totally inappropriate question and it was not Crepea who asked.
