I think it's ideal we had a bad game right before we go to Wisconsin.

And not to make excuses, but clearly Tez not being on the field is having a great impact on the team.

Agree with all of this.

Dan will have their full attention this week.

And yes , not having Tez is an issue.

And Ferguson is not the same player right now. Might not be a bad idea to get him fewer touches until he’s back to normal.

I just noticed that we're the only top 25 team playing a game next week that has already played 10 games. Considering that none of our wins this year have been total cupcakes, I hope we'll make it to the bye week unscathed. This turned out to be a tougher schedule than it looked.

Oregon State and Purdue have pretty much descended to cupcake status.

There's the question and answer from Dan.

Pretty lame to use that as your question.

Stupid question. Amazing how some people just have to stir the pot even if it has zero relevance to the situation you find yourself in.

Totally agree and anyone making assumptions about his personal.preferences are equally as dumb.

No need for this kind of stuff.

Frustrating game. But there are two sides to the coin:

Positive:
- It's a long season and slump games happen. Miami got thumped by an unranked Georgia Tech team while Georgia and LSU looked fraudulent in ranked matchups. BYU needed another miracle to stay unbeaten. Oregon plays sloppy and still wins by 3 scores. Lots of coaching spots to point to for Lanning.
- The defense was phenomenal. You're not always going to score 40-50 points, so when your offense is struggling, it's nice to lean on the D.

Negative:
- Is this the team we see without Harper and Tez? If so, uh oh. Felt like we didn't stretch the field hardly at all against Maryland.
- Penalties. Just a sloppy game from the Ducks. The team didn't look locked in as well.
- The play-calling. Can someone please let Will Stein know we don't want any more WR screens and runs up the middle on 2nd down?

We definitely didn’t stretch the field vertically. I also wonder how much of this is intentional to vanilla the playbook a little when we’re going up against a pretty safe bet at home?

I do think there’s wisdom in not showing our cards, and there’s no doubt we have the ability to throw down field as showcased in past games.

That's why it's hard for me to be worried. We fielded the same roster today as we did against Michigan, and we stretched the field just fine in that game (even after Harper went out). Yesterday just looked intentionally vanilla.

It's Ronald Clark, a sports reporter from the Eugene CBS affiliate KVAL.

Is this not the same guy who went on TV in Eugene and said his former colleague who worked at a TV station in Alabama had confirmed that Dan was going to take the Alabama job then he (Clark) had to issue an on air apology?

Two different people. If the person asking the question to Lanning was indeed Ronald Clark, this is him.

https://nbc16.com/station/people/ronald-clark

The bozo that made up Lanning being in Tuscaloosa was Brandon Kamerman.
