Tez Johnson finally bacK?

Based on his latest IG post, it sure looks like Tez Johnson is back practicing.

It would be amazing to have him back for the Husky game! It would allow him to have a game to get back in game shape for the conference championship. While I do think Burch is overall the best player Tez is the most important cause the defense handles Burch’s absence much better than the offense handles Tez’s absence.

This is a concern. Trevor Matich spoke about it on ESPN saying that Oregon's inability to stretch the field vertically, with the exception of Evan Stewart, was due to Tez being out.

The Wisconsin secondary was able to cover our receivers well enough that it forced Dillon Gabriel into constantly being under pressure.

It's shocking to me that guys like Traeshon Johnson wasn't consistently able to get open. Kenyon Sadiq also only had one catch.

As good as Ferguson has been this year, he's dropped apx half of the balls thrown his way since he came back from illness.

I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just sayin'.

Ah yes the Matich overreaction to find a way to rag on Oregon.

All of those things that went in the Badgers favor after 8 consecutive and 3 of 5 big away trips all added up. Nobody was lost for the season so I'm not sure what the big concern is.

It was less a personnel issue and more a scheme (high safeties covering the deep ball) issue. We had to dink and dunk, which is actually something Johnson is great at helping at, but I don't think we would have stretched the field much more with him.

DG seems like a qb who doesn’t have chemistry with everyone, and really locks on Tez and Ferg. We need telex to make a run at the natty. Wish he had the same report with Holden and Stewart, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Could be. But what’s weird is Russell Wilson misses wide open guys over the middle, not outside. While DG misses guys running routs outside.

I agree about Gabriel’s vision but Tez is also so reliable that Gabriel has gotten away with locking in on him on so many key plays cause Tez always gets open.
