Yeah I do agree with that to an extent (but if ducks lost to Idaho and Boise state and are 9-2 they should miss the playoffs with a 3rd loss) so early season losses do matter. My point is with weak non conference schedules we really don’t know how a lot of top teams stack up against each other. How good are Alabama and Georgia compared to Oregon and Ohio State? I think they need to do mandatory 8 game conference schedules with 2 power 4 nonconference games and 1 G5 nonconference game. Each team can have a FCS scrimmage.ducks5ever wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:14 pmPenn State looks worse than Indiana. The non-conference schedule doesn't mean anything either. Not very fair to judge a team at the end of the season by how they played their first 2 games. Just look at us.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:50 pmThat is fair, I just think it’s impossible to compare these teams cause of such weak nonconference scheduling these days and that includes Oregon. I really think we need more power 4 non conference games. While the eye test today told me Indiana isn’t a legit playoff contender they very well could be compared to the 2 loss SEC teams.StevensTechU wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:41 pmI disagree. They had their worst day today, and if you judge every team on their worst day then you're comparing a bad loss at Ohio State to losses to Kentucky, to Arkansas, to Georgia Tech. Or maybe judge each school based on their second worst day, in which Indiana's is a close win to Michigan and the others are further losses.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:38 pmI hate to say it but I don’t think Indiana is one of the 12 best teams in the country. This is why we need to force better non conference schedule to give clarity to how good teams really are.StevensTechU wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:23 pm Man. 11-1 Indiana getting left out feels like a possibility and that's gross to think about.

Re: The Other Guys (the only guys) - Week 13
I haven't been very impressed with Penn State all season. That said, if Ohio State loses to Michigan next week and ends up with a second loss, Penn State would be in line to play the Ducks in the conference championship. I've been honestly hoping that we can avoid a rematch with Ohio State. I just think they're the best team in the country outside of Oregon and the difference between the two is like splitting hairs.ducks5ever wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:14 pmPenn State looks worse than Indiana. Irregardless, the Ducks need to put their focus on UW before looking ahead.

I've been trying to catch BSU games regularly, and he's looked beat up for the last month. Not the same tackle breaking. Not the same decisiveness.wepto wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 6:57 pm Boise St in a dog fight with Wyoming. Jeanty looks a little dinged up.

Kind of expected after picking up all those yards, even though I'd say the level of competition is easier than what most other top 20 teams are facing.StevensTechU wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:14 pmI've been trying to catch BSU games regularly, and he's looked beat up for the last month. I personally don't think he's doing himself any favors in the long run. RB careers typically don't last long and doing this to yourself at the cfb level may not pay dividends down the road.

Wisconsin goes from playing Oregon tough to losing to Nebraska. Not appreciated.
Alabama and Texas A&M both losing at the half. Wish those scores would hold up, but they won't. Imagine the whining coming from the southeast if everyone starts having three losses.

In a shocker OSU is taking a 7 point lead into the 4th against WSU in the PAC-2 championship game. They are using their 3rd string QB and he is doing 100% better than last week.

Alabama getting blown out by Oklahoma is almost peak schadenfreude for me. Need UCLA to beat USC as well, lol.

Holy smokes Beavers made a 54 yard field goal to go up by 3 with 20 seconds to go, 54 yards!

Re: The Other Guys (the only guys) - Week 13
SEC refs are just as awful as B1G refs. Auburn should’ve had a a 1st and goal at the 2 in double OT but a made up offensive PI made it 2nd and 25. Why are refs so awful this year and constantly affecting the outcome of a game? It’s happening at all levels so we may actually see change now.
