Re: question
And the question is? Which would we choose? Personally I'd like to play Penn State. Chance to avenge our Rose Bowl loss.StevensTechU wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 7:39 am "Big Ten championship game scenarios for the final week of the regular season:

Penn State
Ohio State
Is easily the preferred order. We're at a point where we can't really "game" the Bracket so we're best just winning.

Re: question
I'd love to see us play Penn State for the Big 10 championship. For me, I just want to see different matchups. The potential of playing Ohio St. 3x this season is very boring to me. Would also love to play all new opponents in the playoff.

Re: question
All I really care about is beating Washington so that the CCG doesn't have to matter as much.
We can totally beat Ohio State again. But I don't like our chances in what would basically be a home game for the Buckeyes. Would very much rather catch them someplace else in the playoff if we have to beat them again.

Re: question
Hard for me to see the Ducks facing anyone but tOSU in the CCG. The way they responded to Indiana's early success in that game on Saturday tells me that they're playing at a very high level. Just can't see Michigan posing much of a threat, especially at the Horseshoe.

Re: question
Definitely need Tez to win again, should hold him out against UW to make sure he is ready… the dux won game one on the strength of the passing attack setup by a solid running game and an offensive line play that they had no answer for. The zeros are the better team but need TEZ and depth to return to do it. Two turnovers was the difference in game 1. The ducks back end needs to come up big this time, I think they can do it. It is ironic to play the number 2 team on the road to continue on against what will then be a tougher schedual then if they lose the game ~ something really wack about that.

Re: question
I sort of hope that the loser of Oregon vs Ohio State (presumably the conference championship game) drops to #6 in the seedings. If they go to #5, the teams could see each other yet again in the semis as the winners of the 1/8 and 4/5 matchups.
Unfortunately, if it's Oregon who loses, I think our resume is too good to be leapfrogged by 1-loss Penn State, 1-loss Indiana, 2-loss ACC champ, or whatever comes out of the mess in the southeast.

Re: question
Yes, the 2 turnovers were huge. But we also left points on the field in that game that could have made our margin of victory bigger.Rhuidrhi wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 12:05 am Definitely need Tez to win again, should hold him out against UW to make sure he is ready… the dux won game one on the strength of the passing attack setup by a solid running game and an offensive line play that they had no answer for. I do think that Ohio State has improved a lot since then. We haven't been quite the same since Tez went down. However, the defense has been playing at a high level and we should have Jordon Burch back for a rematch. I don't think we had him last time they played.
"If" they do play again, Oregon has to find a way to stop the backside pressure OSU was able to get on Curtis Rourke. The guy had no time to do much of anything.
I think some designed runs for Gabriel should be a part of that game plan.

Re: question
When I was in high school in the late 80's, I'm ashamed to admit I used to kind of root for the Huskies because they were a national team and the Ducks were just getting Musgrave and still in the midst of a 30-year bowl drought. So, I mean, I kinda get following a way better team when yours has nothing going on. It's all good. Just a hint though, actual duck fans don't call them 'zeros'.Rhuidrhi wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 12:05 am Definitely need Tez to win again, should hold him out against UW to make sure he is ready… the dux won game one on the strength of the passing attack setup by a solid running game and an offensive line play that they had no answer for. What would the corresponding insult for the Huskies be? The Halfsies?
