Playoff seed projections

I really hope they tweak the seeding to avoid rematches in the first two rounds. No reason to see Georgia play Texas a 3rd time or another Oregon vs OSU game in the quarterfinals.

My bracket would be:
1 Oregon
8 ND/9 Tennessee

4 Arizona St
5 Texas/12 SMU

3 Boise
6 Penn St/11 Indiana

2 Georgia
7 OSU/10 Clemson

Absolutely brutal bracket. Vegas has Oregon as the best odds of winning it all, Georgia #2, Texas #3, and Ohio State #4.

If we win out, we would have to play Ohio State in LA, Texas in Dallas, and Georgia in Atlanta barring upsets.

The bracket is rough - actually I don't know how they could have done the #1 seed more dirty, but if Ohio State is as injured on the O-line as they appeared to be vs Michigan, I think this could work out really well for Oregon. Texas is wildly overrated in my opinion, and I think Oregon will blow by them. I don't think it will be Georgia in the other bracket, either Penn State or Notre Dame will beat them. It's a playoff. You will have to beat a few really good teams to win.

If Oregon gets Ohio State in the quarters and Texas in the semis, that's as bad a draw as you could imagine. Both teams are potentially the second best in the country.

I think Texas is a good team, it just comes down to matchups. I don't think they can stop us, but I'm not sure if we can stop them either.

Although I'd hate a rematch with Ohio State, that might be a better matchup than Tennessee. OSU has had O-Line issues and hasn't been playing very well recently - Even vs Indiana.

Tennessee has an excellent defensive line that could cause us problems. If they could slow down or shut down our running game, as well as get consistent pressure on Gabriel, that could make for a long day.

If I'm Ohio State, I'm concerned about my OL against the Tennessee DL. It's almost the same situation as the Michigan game, except Tennessee has a quarterback with more capability (though he's extremely hot and cold).

On a purely selfish level, hard to be more pleased to have both Miami U and Alabama shut out. (Even though I happen to think it's reasonably likely Miami gets in as soon as next year, at least based on the consistently stellar recruiting classes they've been getting.)

Completely depends on who they land a QB in the transfer market. Their had an atrocious defense this year and Cam Ward had to carry them.
