Nice we have a bye week before visiting Iowa. Don't love that Penn State gets a bye before us and is so early in our Big Ten schedule. Gonna be hard to win that one.

4 teams have bye weeks before playing Oregon, including Penn St. and Indiana. Yikes! Granted the Ducks also have bye weeks before the Indiana and Iowa games, so really just get the disadvantage in a couple of games. Penn St. will be able to dig deep into the bag of tricks again next year with an extra week to prepare.

Outside of a likely Penn State loss, our schedule is actually pretty favorable.

Iowa is my top choice. Rutgers is 2nd.

Might make the drive to Seattle to deal with that town and its insufferable husky fans. But Seattle would be in addition to Iowa or Rutgers.

My quick take on best games. I'd really hope we start getting better OOC games with 12-teams instead of the cowardly SEC getting ready to schedule 7 league games rather than 9.

Week 1 - Ohio State vs Texas
Week 2 - Michigan at Oklahoma; Oregon at Oklahoma State
Week 3 - Wisconsin at Alabama
Week 4 - Civil War & Apple Cup
Week 5 - Oregon at Penn State; Ohio State in Seattle
Week 6 - Oregon Bye; Penn State at UCLA is upset alert after playing us and then going to LA the next week.
Week 7 - Michigan at USC
Week 8 - USC at Notre Dame; Poodles at Michigan
Week 9 - Oregon vs Wisconsin* poor week right now, if Badgers beat Bama this will be a bigger game
Week 10 - Oregon Bye; Penn State at Ohio State
Week 11 - Oregon at Iowa - will be a tough test for our Offense but our Defense might outscore the Hawkeyes Offense.
Week 12 - Bleh
Week 13 - Oregon vs USC
Week 14 - Oregon in Seattle; Ohio State at Michigan and whatever USC and UCLA do on a Friday night like the HS programs they are.

I actually like the way it plays out in that we get a decent opponent in Ok State to help us get game-ready and a road game in Chicago while PSU will play 3 patsies at home. Nevada is likely their toughest test in Week 1 so while it will still be a tough environment and team to play against, I think in some ways PSU's lack of decent opponent to prep against could be the difference for us. We were +2 in the TO margin and that was certainly the difference in the game too.

Washington faces 5 opponents coming off byes. Oregon has 4. Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, and Nebraska have 3. Michigan, Northwestern, and Ohio State have 2. Minnesota somehow has none.

I actually didn't realize until I saw a tweet from Dan Rubenstein that the Northwestern game will be played at their 15k seat temporary stadium. That's like going to see a HOF rock band play at WOW Hall. That's definitely now in consideration.

That's insane! The B1G really seems committed to raw-dogging its new members. Meanwhile, we're over here keeping the B1G on par with the SEC and getting very little gratitude.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

This is still easily a 10+ win schedule. Decent timing on the bye weeks but the road games to PSU, Rutgers, and Iowa will be tough.

That Wisconsin schedule is pretty brutal.
