Duck vs. Duck (Broncos vs. Chargers)
Both QBs look good so far, but the talent differential around them is obvious so far. Charges have absolutely no running game.
Is there a more overrated player in the league than Joey Bosa?

Every year I wonder when the Chargers are going to procure some help for Herbert.

Near flawless first half by Herbert, but bad INT right before half.

I've been rooting for both all season and was having trouble with my sympathies until they showed the retired Dan Fouts number. Chargers 2- Broncos 1.

That was weird with the field goal on first down. Nice make by Lutz.

He's basically useless. Lines up off sides multiple times. Total BOZOStevensTechU wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 7:19 pm Both QBs look good so far, but the talent differential around them is obvious so far. Charges have absolutely no running game.

Re: Duck vs. Duck (Broncos vs. Chargers)
I watched a little of it, including a bit of the pregame. Was hoping to hear the Oregon QB v. Oregon QB angle (especially given the Ducks also happen to be the#1 team in college football), but didn't. Was there any of that mentioned?
Was glad to see the Chargers win with the great comeback since I think they needed it more than the Broncos. And I guess I still have to side with the "local" Duck, Herbert, even while I'm loving Nix's rookie season.

They didn't harp on it and make it a primary focus, but Oregon was mentioned enough. Fouts got several mentions as well.

Thanks. I like any (positive) Duck publicity.

I really don't enjoy Amazon's production of games.
Al Michaels needed to go to the retirement home 5+ years ago.
Kirk does way too much stuff to actually be a decent NFL analyst and there was one play where he parroted what Al had just said when the proper analysis would have pointed out something else entirely.
Analysis from former salty players in Sherman and Fitzpatrick continue to bring out the worst in sports journalism rather than being informative and engaging its just pick a side of an argument and focus on it to be divisive.
In addition to needing a WR1 and TE1, Justin also needs a brand new G-C-G trio as it's been shocking to see what a sieve the 3(4 with Salyer) of them have been all year long. Either his ankle is getting better or his adrenaline kicked in because he was certainly more mobile than he's been in previous games and that's on short rest too. The win sets them up to potentially earn the 5 seed with some help which looks like they'd play at Houston, which would be the most favorable of 1st round games for LA. Even with a playoff win on the road, it won't change the fact that Justin will remain arguably the biggest lightning road of QB hot-takes in the league.
As for Bo, one of those hot-takes I loved reading from an east coast writer was essentially "How does a Sean Payton QB have more Passing TDs than a Greg Roman QB?" Like do you even watch these teams play or know a thing about the coaches? Bo should be in the running for ROTY and just like with the Heisman, people want to rag on the guy for running the Offense the way its designed. Last night he was checkdown Bo, but that's because the Chargers Defensive scheme specifically makes that the goal and once they started wrapping up their tackles, the yards were harder to come by. Both the Chargers and Broncos will have more Cap Space in the off-season to really try and add some necessary pieces around each of them.
Bo is probably also helping Dillon Gabriel's stock rise in the draft as well because while fans online can rag about "old 25, 26 year old QBs" the NFL teams are seeing players like Bo and Jayden Daniels be more poised in the pocket under pressure while reading the defense and if it changes a few perceptions it could see DG go earlier than expected as someone whose floor might be a lot higher than some of these other QBs.
