Does Tez end the game with more yards than Jeremiah Smith?

To me it feels like Tez doesn't have to have a big game for us to win but they absolutely need Smith to have a banger for them.StevensTechU wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:12 am Does Tez end the game with more yards than Jeremiah Smith?

Agreed. Tez will always have the attention, meanwhile expect Holden to be in for more than one play, Stewart had his best game of the season against Ohio State, and Ferg as well as Sadiq. Ohio State can't cover all of them.Duck07 wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:18 amTo me it feels like Tez doesn't have to have a big game for us to win but they absolutely need Smith to have a banger for them.StevensTechU wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:12 am Does Tez end the game with more yards than Jeremiah Smith?

I think Ferguson and Sadiq will have good games, with the emergence of Sadiq I think the biggest matchup advantage for Oregon may be our TE’s vs their LB’s, it’ll depend on which DLine shows up for Oregon.

I'm ready for this one to kick off!
Like the previous matchup, I think this is going to be decided by who comes out prepared and wanting it more and who makes the fewest mistakes.
The extended layoff has given all the talking heads opportunity to analyze and prophesize multiple times. It's interesting how OSU's win against Tennessee has become OSU's baseline for the season and the loss against Michigan has been all but forgotten. The question about how good Tennessee actually was is skimmed over. Oregon is being measured mostly by the PSU game where I think that Oregon played more conservative in the second half to keep the game in front of them playing not to lose more than PSU engineering a comeback that exposed Oregon's defense.
To me this is another coin toss game that Dan & the boys will find a way to squeak out a win again.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ll add that Oregons OL better expect a lot more blitzing from OSU’s defense, at least early on or until Oregon consistently burns them.OregonFan4Life wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:34 am I think Ferguson and Sadiq will have good games, with the emergence of Sadiq I think the biggest matchup advantage for Oregon may be our TE’s vs their LB’s, it’ll depend on which DLine shows up for Oregon.
As for OSU’s offense, I’m expecting a heavy run based attack including the QB, wheel routes, crossing or rub “pick plays” routes to free up Smith.

Apparently Lanning and some players including Matayo sound sick in their interviews.

What is the over/under on the officials trying to tilt things towards OSU?

Smart move to have Purchase redshirt this year to help separate out the Edges they had.

I feel good about this game because we know Dan knows what it takes and has done it before as a Coach.
I also just have this sense that our players, sick or not, just have the mental edge in this game with the way they talk about things vs the way the buckeyes are talking about them. Whereas the buckeyes think they're getting screwed with the rematch against us because they don't think they're the 8th best team, I really don't get the sense that we care who we have to play because of the "they have to play Oregon" mentality.

Just looking at Matayo, I almost wouldn't be surprised if he replaces Burch and that Purchase takes over his spot. Young Concrete ain't going to get any lighter as he gets older so if he's listed at 270 now, it wouldn't be shocking if he ended up at 280 by Week 1 next year. Will be something to watch in the Spring Game where exactly the coaches line him up.greenyellow wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 4:09 pm Smart move to have Purchase redshirt this year to help separate out the Edges they had.
