Oregon really just has to keep stacking top-10 classes as they still don't have the same overall talent as a team like Ohio State. OSU's worst class in the last 10 years was #14 back in 2019, which was the year Ryan Day took over. Every other one as been top-10 and most have been top-5.

Marcus Harper is a bigger loss than Strother. Harper is an above average guard, Strother average, and Dave Iuli comes back but he was below average (I'm talking FBS average, not Oregon average or Playoff average at the position). Hopefully Poncho continues to get better but the guards are concerning. We'll see what happens with Bedford.

The team needed a Shane Lemieux, Jake Hanson, and Calvin Throckmorton yesterday, and the roster right now just doesn't have those kinds of guys.

Loved this season and thrilled to have won the B1G... ending sucked, but this was an excellent year.

That said, I have to wonder if this was at or near this coaching staff's ceiling. I love Lanning, but I'm not entirely sold on Lupoi or Stein. Getting blown out like we did yesterday just seems indefensible... and frankly our D struggled far too much against top-tier opponents this year. (Our offense hasn't looked consistently great either, especially following halftime adjustments by opposing Ds.)

I trust Dan Lanning, but I really hope he takes a hard look at his staff and makes changes if we can improve.
Willie Taggart is a dick.
