Given that Oregon just swept Oregon State I should I feel confident that Oregon will win this series, but also knowing that Oregon is 0-2 against Portland and 2/3rd of Ohio State’s conference wins are against Oregon makes me realize there is a really good chance Oregon finds a creative way to lose this series.

Ducks down 0-1 after 4 and giving up an unearned run in the 2nd. Feels like Oregon is sleepwalking, hopefully they wake up soon.

Ducks bats just disappeared. Walsh had a near bomb that would have been a home run in 95% of stadiums.

Nothing in that park is carrying. Only runs came on an error by Aroz and an absolute laser shot by MSU. Still not a great showing against a mid-tier Big Ten team after sweeping the Beavs.UOducksTK1 wrote: Fri May 02, 2025 4:48 pm Ducks bats just disappeared. Grinsell with another solid start but Ducks are down to their final 3 outs. Can already see Waz not being happy with how they swung the bats.

Ducks lose 0-2, what a bummer.

Ducks drop the opener 2-0 after the Spartans' starting pitcher has a complete game, 10 K performance. Oregon once again playing down to the Big Ten competition.

I don’t know if it’s lack of focus in some of these B1G games due to lower tier opponents, jet lag, or something else, but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a hot and cold team in Oregon sports.
Sometimes it does feel like when the bats are cold they swing too much to force something causing them to immediately be down in the count rather than being patient, with Drew Smith being the exception but we can all see how mature of a baseball player he is.

Very likely that happened, though State's pitcher played as advertised. Grinsell pitched well enough to win almost any other game. Close is for horse shoes, but at least 3 Ducks hits were caught at the wall. It didn't come together today, but I'll take Oregon's 2 and 3 against State's 2 and 3 the rest of the way. 2/3 on the road is great.

Offense is doing much better today without having to face a likely MLB Draft Round 1 or 2 pitcher.

Oregon responds with a 13-5 demolition of the Spartans in game 2.

Started watching in the 6th, ducks bats were on fire.
Gotta give it to MSU’s Friday pitcher, he threw a great game. Nice to see ducks bounce back. Hope we win on Sunday!
