Are there former Duck players on the Mariners? Otherwise, this makes no sense. The Blazers are a way more obvious association.

I guess just the idea that the Mariners are the PNW MLB team and so wanting to acknowledge that footprint that goes beyond the state of WA and Duck fans who are also Mariners fans.
