John's wife Tracy was a pitcher at Texas Tech, and with wealth equal to Cody Campbell, a million bucks isn't a sweat.

That makes sense as Campbell seems more involved in football since he was a three-year starter along the DL at Tech (Sellers was a walk-on) and played a year and a half in the NFL.

Mike White is now a game away from a national championship. Texas Tech's Nijaree Canady pitched a brilliant game until a massive blunder, putting a ball over the plate during an intentional walk that the Texas player grounded into the outfield to bring two runs home. It was the third of four pitches that she pitched high but over the plate. TTU only scored one run so that pitch was the difference in the game.

She almost blew it against the Sooners, giving up a home run with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the top of the 7thm but TT came back to win. The "obstruction" that kept TT alive was ridiculous, she was out by a mile, didn't cost TX the game. The TX pitcher is now 4-0 against Cannady. Now TT needs to win 2 in a row.

IMO she blew it in the top of the first batting into the double play with the bases loaded and no outs. Seems like Texas Tech wasted a golden opportunity there.

While I’m rooting for Texas Tech, I’m glad they didn’t win 1-0 cause of that garbage obstruction rule. The NCAA needs to desperately change that rule and train their replay officials how to judge it cause the rule is applied so inconsistently.

While I’m rooting for Texas Tech, I’m glad they didn’t win 1-0 cause of that garbage obstruction rule. The NCAA needs to desperately change that rule and train their replay officials how to judge it cause the rule is applied so inconsistently.

Agree about the 1st inning & especially the "obstruction" rule. The ruling in the baseball game involving the Ducks was particularly egregious, according to the report from the NCAA, if Aroz had conceded, just basically stopped before reaching the plate, he would have scored, because of the obstruction rule. Because, (inner Pete Rose perhaps) he went for it he was called for malicious contact & suspended. In the softball game, the runner was "out by a mile", but no. In softball, Leschar was called out because of the bizarre contact ruling, her foot was in contact with the base up to the time the ball left the pitcher's hand, but it had been off seconds before. I don't know how a base is going to be stolen in baseball now.
