Howd yall think the interior DL looked? Noticed Green and Washington quite a bit.

Re: For those with more knowlege than me
The 2 who stood out to me were Amauri Washington at DT and Blake Purchase at Edge.
I was only mildly surprised to see Tionne start next to AW since we saw in the Under Construction videos that the coaches had both Tionne and Terrance at the leadership meeting with Dan saying they can replace Caldwell/Harmon

How did Bear Alexander do? I didn’t really notice him much.
I personally thought Tuioti looked fantastic as well, from my perspective I thought he looked stronger and quicker.
Of course it is Montana State, hard to tell how good everyone is against an FCS team.

Also, for those more knowledgeable, not to hijack the interior DL, I hope that continues in this thread, but I was hoping to hear how the secondary looked. It felt like Dan rotated a lot of guys in the secondary. Who stood out in a good way and who stood out as someone that struggled.

Tuioti* has always looked good against inferior competition. His issue is his talent sort of gets revealed when he plays higher end tackles. He pursues well in those games but is just a total nonfactor.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Aug 31, 2025 8:16 am How did Bear Alexander do? I didn’t really notice him much.

...but you are the definitely the Asian groundskeeper from "Major League".
It's your unique charm.

Didn't notice him a lot either way, but guessing he gets more reps against more balanced teams, while Tionne plays more against run heavy teams. Trying to run against Tionne and Washington seems really hard. Penn State has a great OL though and they will test our linebackers.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Aug 31, 2025 8:16 am How did Bear Alexander do? I didn’t really notice him much.

Was hard to tell because Montana State basically just ran quick passes. Geoff Schwartz said the all-22 showed Theinemann was doing a good job making sure nothing busted in the back end.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Aug 31, 2025 8:17 am Also, for those more knowledgeable, not to hijack the interior DL, I hope that continues in this thread, but I was hoping to hear how the secondary looked. I can only say from "flash" plays that Ify looked really good and Finney had some amazing reps and a couple of bad angles(but you can see his potential is astonishing!). Flowers had a couple nice plays and I thought Daylen Austin outplayed Canaday at Nickel. (at least did a better job covering that quick little bobblehead #14!)
