From what I can tell, the guest picker for Oct 11 College GameDay has not been announced yet.

Rumors are that it’s Glen Powell.

That’s the worst rumored one yet. Guy is a Texas fan through and through. Why would we want him doing a UO game? Might as well get softy to do it. If they want some actor to do it, get an actual former duck in Devon Long. Or Katee Sackoff, who’s at least from Portland. Or the best option, Sam Elliot who went to UO.

The rumor is due to him playing Chad Powers on the new Hulu show, and Chad Powers is originally a Duck in the show. So, if we were on there, it could be as the character rather than himself. It would primarily be a way for Disney to promote their new show. To be honest, I lost interest in the whole guest picker thing a few years ago. Gameday has been at Oregon so often that it's lost its luster for me. I don't even bother to get up to watch it when it's there. I don't really care who they pick or if they have an affiliation with Oregon, but I also think it's all just speculation from fans. Nobody has any idea who it's going to be.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether, should the expected rain for this game materialize, it would help or hurt one team more than the other? I don't really think it would favor one team over the other, but would welcome any insights.
