Oregon's new Grateful Ducks uniforms
Oregon has released their new Grateful Ducks uniforms. Basically it's really only a new black jersey with tie dye numbers and Steal Your Face Duck skull logos while the helmet has new logos on the bumpers and back. Much more subdued than most expected when they were first announced. Not their best but not their worst either.

The All-Black doesn't even make it feel like a Grateful Dead type jersey becaues of the serious lack of color. Use the pastel green and yellow with white

This feels like a uniform that was put together on shorter notice than others. During the Shoe Duck reveal and interviews, they said they worked on that one for over 2 years. This one likely only took them 9-10 months since it's really just a new jersey and helmet decal. I'd imagine the Grateful Dead also had to sign off on it and were okay with a more minimal and subdued look than everyone was thinking when first announced in July. This would have been a perfect time to go with a green Fly Era jersey with yellow/white tie dye numbers and wings on helmet.Duck07 wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 9:47 am The All-Black doesn't even make it feel like a Grateful Dead type jersey becaues of the serious lack of color. Based on what Lanning said about the uniforms, it sounds like they really toned down the uniforms down from the initial versions. Would be nice to hear what they originally had planned/designed.

Of no ‘Tie’ into the uniform debate, but probably the best banner I ever saw at a Duck game was ‘Ty died in Eugene’ in 1990. Ty Detmer was leading in predictions for the Heisman at the time, while at BYU. They came into Autzen as a top five team, and the Ducks beat them down. Quite a fun/exceptionally loud day, but a perfect sign from the southeast corner of the stadium.

This game would be perfect to bring back Travis and Troy Dye. Troy will have played Thursday and he should fly in.

Re: Oregon's new Grateful Ducks uniforms
While Shoe Duck got a full uniform but a limited fan gear selection, Nike and Oregon took a different approach with the Grateful Ducks. I guess it makes sense since one was honoring a more buttoned up business man and his coach while the other is honoring a band known for its counterculture, fun vibes.
