Ducks cruise v. the West Georgia Wolves, 100-59, in their opening regular season game. Second quarter was the key one with the Ducks outscoring the Wolves 25-3, which led to a 48-13 halftime lead.

Hard to believe Oregon was able to force 30+ turnovers. Not sure I've seen an Oregon team (MBB or WBB) do that in a long time.

Hopefully creating turnovers at a high rate will be a mark of this team.greenyellow wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 5:09 pm Hard to believe Oregon was able to force 30+ turnovers. Not sure I've seen an Oregon team (MBB or WBB) do that in a long time.

I have few opinions on this years team yet other than they are very small and my fear is they will not be a good perimeter shooting team despite being so guard dominated. I really think to be a successful small ball team you need to be able to shoot 3s consistently.
Defensively Melvius, Long, Bell and Fasio are proven disrupters. Forcing turnovers is a strength I am confident will continue through the year though obviously not at numbers like this.
Of note 24 of those 30 turnovers were steals, That's quite a number

They might be small by Oregon's standards, but I wouldn't say they are a small team. Muhammed is 6'4, Rambus is 6'3, we just don't have a presence like Phillipina. From what I've read, they got used to playing smaller, because she wasn't always able to play. Will it work? I don't know, it will be fun to watch
