Oh it was worse than that. On that last Iowa td they didn't snap the ball until after the playclock hit 0 and the refs completely missed that. Should have been a delay of game penalty. Those refs were not just incompetent but incredibly biased all game long.QuackininBama wrote: Sat Nov 08, 2025 5:15 pm BTW, watch that last series, NONE of Iowa's defenders ever turned their head to look for the ball, and the refs didn't call a single PI

I gotta get this off my chest. If that was a TRULY OPI on McClellan and DPI on Ify O, then whatever that Iowa DB did to Benson on that final attempt was PI endzone and by rule she ball should have been placed at the 1. In fact dude, looked like he knew he was beat so he just grabbed Benson around the waist.

The only people that would argue with you are the announcers, the refs, and Iowabdkipe wrote: Sat Nov 08, 2025 6:16 pm I gotta get this off my chest. I love this teams guts. You guys gotta admit, they take lockstep after their coach. DURING games and in critical times, he is calm, cool and no panic. He will celebrate once a big play is done but you never see him freak out on officials and you never see him freak out on players. This team doesn’t have panic…except for Dante when he is in his own head. Down 3 key players, then Gary Bryant and in crappy weather, Iowa in November, no calls from officials and some self imposed errors (busted coverages 2x on last Iowa drive) they kept moving forward with belief.
That bodes well.

I have a hard time calling what I’ve seen in the 4th quarters of the PSU, Indiana, and Iowa games from the Oregon defense anything other than panic. Refs were gawd awful, but Oregon’s defense was fully scrambled.bdkipe wrote:I love this teams guts. You guys gotta admit, they take lockstep after their coach. 3 solid quarters and then they showed their asses just about every 3rd/4th down. That has to change.

Was that classsic though? Does Iowa always get all the calls?
Hands to the face? Nope the DL actually has a handful of Jersey, never touched the Iowa OL facemask.
OPI on JMAc? Weakest OPI ever, it should have been DPI.
On the 4th and 1, the QBs knee touches
Before he even got going, they missed it.
On a key 3rd down, Bryce was about to make the tackle, but gets clearly blocked in the back
I saw a facemask missed on Whitt
Benson held way worse than the DPIi on UO on the 3rd down late. No call.
This game, if called currently, should have been 23-7

Re: #6 Oregon @ Iowa (Nov. 8, Sat 12:30 PM CBS)
That sweep play where Iowa got a big chunk of yardage (and I think they scored a couple plays later) had like two or three guys BADLY holding, like the defenders were facing completely away from them and yet mysteriously were unable to pursue the ball carrier.
It was so blatant! It's wild how multiple officials managed to swallow their whistles on that call.
Thankfully we got the win so it didn't matter. But yeah, the home cooking was REAL. Thankfully we spoiled the potluck!

The BIG absolutely needs to look into the officiating, and I’m hopeful UO will make the call. Most egregious one sided BS I have seen in a long time. I’m freaking mad as hell, even though we still won. This sh*t has to be done, and punished. The Ducks didn’t cover, and maybe that’s all this crew might have been trying to accomplish. Outside of an obvious call on the failed punt attempt that they had to make, no way Iowa played call-less football. Simply unrealistic.

NOW, it makes total sense why Herbstreit called this game for Iowa multiple times. While he can't say it out loud, he has been around this game for decades, and he KNEW, thing are slightly crooked when you play in Iowa. Its coming together now!!!

I’m right there with you, I thought I’d be happy and I’m relieved the ducks won but I feel angry we watched a bunch of old corrupt fools heavily impact a game played by a bunch of 18-22 year olds.Everythingsducky wrote:The BIG absolutely needs to look into the officiating, and I’m hopeful UO will make the call. Re: #6 Oregon @ Iowa (Nov. 8, Sat 12:30 PM CBS)
Calling that two point conversion a catch was the most blatant, in my opinion, as the ref clearly took a second and made a decision to call it in bounds even though it clearly wasn’t. All game the officials were clearly calling things FOR Iowa.
The fumble they tried to pretend didn’t happen was another example. The ball was clearly out and the Iowa player clearly never had the ball in his hands after it came free, yet they called him down and tried to hurry the game along. Just totally unabashed, corrupt officiating.
