Auburn may not have their leading scorer on Monday, which would be a massive break for Oregon.

Looks like Keyshawn Hall will play tonight for Auburn.

How Auburn is only a 3.5 favorite to me is pretty surprising. I was thinking 7-9 points in their favor on the spread.

I think part of it was Hall's injury.

So far, Oregon belongs on the court. Played a pretty sloppy half and Shelstat is ice cold, but tied at the half.

More great minutes from Stewart.

If the Ducks box out and cut down on the turnovers, I think they can easily get the W tonight. They also need Shelstad to get going since they can't count on Auburn to keep shooting so badly.

Gosh I love the effort but holy smokes gotta clean things up! Also Shelstad’s shot selection hasn’t been great, definitely don’t like seeing a missed 3 on a 3 on 1 fast break.

We need to play cleaner offense while maintaining the effort but this team does need to start working on the pick and roll defense. Our guards and bigs do not defend it well and Pettiford has had a lot of success off the pick and roll.

Overall, proud of this team, you can’t teach heart and effort and they have it! But they need to play cleaner and have better shot selection and as time goes on they’ll get more chemistry.

Gosh I hate college basketball refs, “someone fell down so clearly there must’ve been a foul so I should just blow my whistle and call a foul on the closest defender. Oh also one coach is whining a lot more than the other, I’m sure he’s whining for a good reason so I’ll just start calling more fouls in their favor to see if that will stop him from whining. Well what do you know, he’s still whining! We should continue to call more fouls in their favor.”

There’ve been a few touch fouls, but I’m appreciating the physicality the refs are allowing around the hoop. Nice change of pace from the first few games—that there’s any pace at all.

Steve Pearl is a world class crybaby. He never stops begging for fouls. Fucking despicable.

I don’t want Altman to reach that level of whining but gosh sometimes I wish he got in the refs’ ears more.

Auburn’s guards find a way to work their way toward the elbow/paint, even if they don’t score it opens so much more for the offense. Meanwhile our guards seem to be content rotating the bell 3 feet behind the 3 point line. I’m pretty disappointed in our guards tonight, particularly Shelstad.

Shelstad is one of my least favorite players to watch. Love when his shot is dropping but he just drives me nuts.
