I also have a feeling that the committee is going to put Miami in as the last at-large team over Notre Dame due to their head to head win in week 1.

If it comes down to Notre Dame and Miami for the final spot, my guess is they'll pick Notre Dame for no other reason other than tv viewership

Notre Dame is on a 10-game winning streak.
Miami is on a 4-game winning streak.

I know it is premature, but if Alabama loses, they will have lost 2 of their last 4 games. Is that a team that needs to go to the playoffs to see if they are the best team in the country? Doesn't it seem like a third loss would more or less demonstrate that they aren't? If I am the committee, I am rooting for an Alabama loss. It's the cleanest scenario at this point to leave them and take the two teams on winning streaks.

It would make the most sense, but just imagine the tantrums the SEC will throw if both Texas and Alabama are left out

It's almost like the schools were all warned that adding more quality teams was going to dilute their records by 1-2 more losses every year. Also why seeing them play 9 conference games will make these future meltdowns even funnier when they're arguing for 4-5 loss teams to get in.

The commentators for the SEC game just educated everyone on how every team in the SEC is the best ever fielded, so their losses are actually wins. Meanwhile, the BIG10 has three good teams and that is it. A cakewalk to play in that conference.

It's getting sickening. We've all grown up living through East Coast bias, but I would gladly take ignorant bias over this outright cheerleading.

Followed by the Southeastern Cult commissioner saying that 7 SEC teams deserved being in the playoffs.

Just incredible that a conference playing 1 less conference game than the other two quality conferences, thinks they can make a claim to anything.

Just imagine if there was a weekend of games late in the season where every team in the B1G added a win to their record. How much different would the conference look if USC and Michigan were both sitting at 10-2?

For me, all credibility was lost when you had two B1G alums, from tOSU no less…on their podcast, say, with straight faces:

“I mean, winning at Mississippi State is REALLY hard.”

Kirk & Joey should be ashamed for schilling like that.

I guarantee win in at Iowa and at UW is harder than winning in Starkville. GTFOH with that BS.

If Bama gets in and Vandy doesn’t, heads need to roll on the selection committee.

10-2, 1-0 against top 25

10-2, 1-2 against top 25

Is it better for us if Ohio State or Indiana wins?

Hard to tell, depends on who you’d rather see. Given how this game played out not sure I want to see Indiana again, though maybe our coaching staff was able to learn a thing or two from their first matchup and they won’t have the same struggles in a rematch. Ohio State is more talented but Indiana has a solid system and our coaching staff has done very poor in rematches.

I really think our Playoffs will go the way that Dante plays. If he's playing A-level football I think its going to be really hard to beat us.

I also think we're in a good spot now with likely being the 5 seed and getting an ideal amount of rest between games. There's no reason to think we can't go win 4 more games.
