Feels like a lot of people aren't willing to spend $200+ to watch a blowout and/or they're saving their money for the Orange Bowl and future CFP games. They need to price tickets a little more in line with what is normally paid for regular season games.

My feeling is that if the Ducks are truly ready, truly primed, truly excited to play this game, it shouldn't be close -- no matter how motivated JMU might be to prove that they belong in the playoffs. It may not be a Rutgers situation, but I'll be pretty disappointed if the game is at all in doubt at pretty much any point in the second half.
Also happy to see that any rainfall has largely been taken out of the weather forecast for the game.

Yahoo Sports is telling me to root for JMU. I am so conflicted.

I really wish JMU was playing anybody but us. I'm rewatching their game against Louisville and they're a good football team. I would give them a 1-in-10 shot or better to beat Tulane, Miami, A&M, Ole Miss, and maybe Alabama and TTU. I know that isn't a lot but I think their chance against the Ducks is more like 1-in-25. Someone who understands betting lines better than me can probably translate the game odds into a fractional probability.

How do you think JMU matches up to Oregon compared to Tulane? I felt like JMU was a tougher opponent than Tulane. Tulane got lucky to win their conference championship and really got outplayed and needed some crazy fluke plays to win. JMU’s offense is limited but Tosh has always struggled against mobile QB’s and for a G6 program they have a very stout DLine. Plus JMU has a very good RB that could take advantage of the weak LB play at Oregon. No doubt Oregon should win but if the players don’t take this seriously it could get way too close for comfort.StevensTechU wrote:I really wish JMU was playing anybody but us. JMU's strength is their defense, with the weakness on that side being the secondary. Their strength offensively is running the ball and just being efficient with the pass game. I actually should have said Oklahoma is another team they'd have a shot at because anyone they can lull into a low-scoring affair and make it a game about turnovers is a game they could possibly win. As you said, they have a stout defensive line with numbers 0 and 93, especially.
I don't like JMU against us because I think we can load the box on defense and will hit some home runs in our passing game, if not both passing and running. They don't have the speed on the back end to keep up with the wide receivers we have on the roster, and maybe not even Sadiq. In the Louisville game, they led for much of the game but their undoing was just Louisville's athletes in space. Oregon's is on another level from UofL.
I agree with your suggestion about Tulane. They have defensive linemen that look and play a lot like higher-end P4 players, and I like their DBs for the most part, but what scares you about Tulane? Not really anything. They're just 'pretty good' across the board.

So many tickets now going for $65 to $75. Hopefully we fill the stadium.

Stewart downgraded to doubtful while Dakorien and GBJ still listed as questionable. Kind of expected this with EStew as they likely always wanted to give him as much time as possible before playing again.

Its a pleasant surprise to see trey mcnutt almost back. Although don't know how much of help he will be, being that he has no college live game experience under his belt yet.

I’d really like Mcnutt to get 15-20 plays just for that reason.alxtw wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 8:33 pm Its a pleasant surprise to see trey mcnutt almost back. Although don't know how much of help he will be, being that he has no college live game experience under his belt yet.

It looked like a potential high ankle sprain from watching the replays and looking for the mechanism of injury.buckmarkduck wrote:It’s a mystery. No one has ever said what it is.rockthief wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 6:41 pm Will someone please remind me what injury Wilson has? thank you
