They suggest "short arms"?

"He's also very comfortable hand-fighting and repositioning. His arm length isn't just short it's outlier short, even for a center. This makes it easier for defenders to cross his face and shed his blocks, even if he gets his hands inside."

Moore isn’t leaving. He doesn’t to be out of the nfl in 4 years. Look at the stats for guys with as few starts as he has, only Darnold has been a “success”. And that took 5 teams

The WR from Michigan state would be a nice addition

Probably could use anLB, DE, DL and 1-2 OL. And a kicker

What positions need transfer portal help?

If we’re going shopping, let’s nab 2-3 interior DL, a rangy OLB, a Mendoza to push the kids if Dante leaves, a Z TE, 2 OT, 2 OG, and a center with eligibility beyond next year.

Maybe throw in a punter, a 12-pack of coke, and a toaster oven if there’s room in the trunk.

At some point, are we just adding talent to add talent? As in is there a threshold after which it’s just…. Win it or don’t? How often does a 5* 4th read get a glance from the QB?

If Oregon doesn’t win it all this year, then I’m desperately pulling for Indiana. As a huge baseball fan, the idea of the 72nd most talented roster winning a championship feels like the Tampa Rays winning the AL East - Sorely needed parody and hope that money isn’t an end all be all. Even you, Boise State (71st) can win a championship with the right people running the show.

Whether interior DL are needed next year really depends on what the ceiling is for guys like Xadavien Sims, Aydin Breland, Tionne Gray and others. Based on the lack of success in recruiting those positions in the '25 and '26 classes, it will definitely become necessary to hit to the portal there in a couple years.

Depending on what happens with CHJ, Nick Marsh has to be one their top portal WR targets. I really hope someone like Cam Coleman from Auburn enters the portal as well.

I thought Coleman already entered the portal.

I think Oregon has enough open roster spots that we should be going after all the top targets in the portal. Except for QB, if Dante comes back. If Dante declares, we're almost certainly on the market for a QB.

And maybe some recency bias here, but uh, Adam Mohammed looks like a top-10 overall pick type of player. I think if he enters the portal, he's 100% a take, even with a room full of talented backs. Especially since it would hurt the Huskies bad.

With the current landscape, don't see any reason not to bid on every top player that enters.

We will have to fill our holes and get guys at our positions of need, obviously. But once we do that, let's hit our wants as well.

Cam Coleman, yes please. And that doesn't mean I don't like our current WR room.

My 2 cents:
-Punter
-Kicker
-QB (if we lose either of Moore or Novosad)
-OT
-OG (if Pregnon leaves)
-OC (if Poncho leaves)
-DT (if both starters leave)
-LB
-Nickel

A bigger WR is probably up there on the list now that CHJ is headed to Ohio State.

With all the DBs leaving, have to think they get at least one veteran at CB and S now.

Agreed, plus with Ify struggling lately I don’t think we can pencil him as a starter alongside Finney next year, I could see Lanning finding a better option to pair with Finney in 2026.

Ify has been fine. If they can bring in better, then so be it.

I don’t think Dan is happy with fine, he’s gonna want to see better from Ify going forward.

I thought so too. I think he got a bit of the treatment from the refs this year, but I saw Ohio State's Igbinosun went from 16 PIs last year to only 4 this year. With Offord, Brew, and Benjamin there should be plenty of competition. I'd say OT, OG/OC, MAC LB, NB foremost.

3 OL at least with Center, Guard and Tackle and possibly a QB but the OL has been a known issue for next year because you can't just pencil in Ihenacho even if the hope is that he can play early like Penei.

At least 1 premier DL, LB and possibly an Edge in addition to any "would start anywhere" like Dillon that pops up otherwise I think you've got an ideal DB room between returning talent and letting guys get their chance.
Check out this smooth brain with the "ideal DB room" remark

We're definitely going to need another true freshman db to earn the 2-deep/start with the current attrition.
