Not to be a hater but how does Moloney come back from a game like that? That might have been the worst game from a duck at the plate I’ve seen since Oregon baseball came back. 0-5 with hitting into the double play 3 times is awful. He single handedly accounted for 8 outs, almost cost his team 3 innings of offense.

Brutal loss. So many opportunities to come back too.
Really hope we can still pull the series win…

Besides a couple games here and there, Molony is not looking anywhere close to where he was his first two seasons as he hit over .300 both those years but is now at .232 this season. I'd be very surprised if he gets drafted after this season with how far he's fallen offensively.OregonFan4Life wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 10:24 pm Not to be a hater but how does Moloney come back from a game like that? Gotcha, I didn’t look up stats but I felt that he hasn’t been as reliable this year. But even if he was, the game he had last night was all time bad, I’m just curious the mental game for him and how he overcomes that. A performance like that can’t be easy to forget.greenyellow wrote:Besides a couple games here and there, Molony is not looking anywhere close to where he was his first two seasons as he hit over .300 both those years but is now at .232 this season. After trailing 2-0, Oregon has jumped ahead in the B4 with a 3-run HR by Jaksa and Lauaki following it with a solo shot.

The Oregon bullpen really wants to lose this game.

At least Bell only gave up the one run and Oregon still has a lead.

Well despite really scary 7th and 8th innings the ducks escape with a HUGE 4-3 win! Biggest game of the season tomorrow!

Something to keep an eye on tomorrow is Waz won't be with the team to attend his daughter's graduation. Just some unfortunate timing given what's at stake. Will be interesting to see how Marder is as a coach without Waz.

Ya bases loaded twice with 1 out is not what we wanna see. But good win for ducks!OregonFan4Life wrote: Fri May 15, 2026 8:56 pm Well despite really scary 7th and 8th innings the ducks escape with a HUGE 4-3 win! Biggest game of the season tomorrow!

Oregon now has #17 RPI ranking. Winner of this game gets #3 seed in big ten tournament, loser gets #4 seed. In other words, top seeds win their first round games of big ten tournament, then the winner of tonight will get Nebraska, loser gets ucla.
Also hosting a regional is very much in the line since Oregon state lost to Air Force yesterday. Whenever finishes strongest between usc, OSU, and Oregon will likely be the last west coast team to host a regional.

Wow didn’t realize how much is on the line, I have confidence the ducks can beat Nebraska in the B1G tourney but UCLA not so much, even though this is a home game for Nebraska. It is a bummer that the baseball and softball games are on at the same time.UOducksTK1 wrote:Ya bases loaded twice with 1 out is not what we wanna see. Oregon is up 4-0 after 2 innings after a Molony HR and Drew Smith RBI single.
