Introduce yourself thread
This next month or two will be slow, and I'm already bored... Once spring game starts and as we get closer to the summer, there will be more to talk about.
So, I thought we could start a thread where everyone gets to know each other. After all, we've been chatting together for over two years now, so why not. Talk about whatever you think we'd find interesting. If you want to post a picture of yourself or whatever, go for it. Just keep it rated G.

Re: Introduce yourself thread
I'll start:
Jonah is the name. I'm 20, and I'm a Junior at Portland State University where I'm studying computer science. Funny thing is none of my parents or relatives have ever gone to UO, but my dad always rooted for the ducks, so I grew up doing the same. I started watching the ducks religiously around 2000. And in 2005, I got season tix. Been going to games ever since. Blazers, Packers, and Mariners are my other favorite teams. If anyone is in Portland and balls it up at thprd or at pcc-rock creek, you've probably seen me there before. Can't miss me, 6'3" and only able to dunk a child's basketball.
Think that's it.

name is Joe, 25, father of an active 10 month old and married for going on 3 years now. Grew up my entire life in Michigan and went to a shcool outside Pittsburgh for college. Started watching Duck games when I was 11 and havent stopped since. Grew up with a huge hatred for both Michigan colleges so I happy to attend the Michigan vs Oregon 07 game and loved seeing that crowd go silent, it let me hear all the screaming Duck fans much better. This will likely be the year that I finally make my trip to Autzen for a game. My wife is finishing her last year of law school, which forced us to move down to Florida for one year.

I'm Frank, 33, grew up in the Portland area. Graduated from Linfield, but always watched both Oregon and OSU all my life. Went to my first Ducks game in '06 (the Oklahoma game) and was instantly hooked. Had 3 really good friends who had season tickets and between them, went to every game but one in '06 and '07. Although I'm a newer Duck fan, I feel like I'm pretty hard core and still live and die with them. Unfortunately, my friends don't have season tickets anymore but we still watch the games together and we go to at least one game per year. Wife is a Husky fan, which makes our house pretty fun with my friends and I! And trying to raise my one month old daughter all Ducks too...

Hey I'm Geoff, originally from Portland, I've lived in Santiago, Chile for the past 5 years. I started watching the Ducks before I could walk thanks to my Dad. Been a religious follower for the past few years, but I really earned my stripes at the 1990 Civil War game. Nine years old and suffering through horrible weather to see a classic 6-3 Ducks victory at Parker.
I've traveled the past 2 years from Chile to meet up with Pops at the Holiday Bowl and Rose Bowl. Thanks to the great streamers at myp2p.eu I've been able to see every Ducks game the past 2 years (except the ASU game in 2008 that wasn't on TV) and most of the games the previous 3 years.
I hoping to make the trip to Tennessee next year and definitely going to the NC if (when) it happens!

Re: Introduce yourself thread
Well I'm Aaron. I'm 19 & a courtesy clerk at Safeway here in Thurston. Yes I know I need to go to college soon, I hear it about 10x a day.
I was born in Beverly, Mass. but my parents moved out here to crappy ol' Springfield when I was 1 & a half to start a church. So my dad's a pastor & I've grown up in church. Been watching the Ducks since the Akili years, 98-99. Went to my first game in the 2000 season & watched us own #6 ucla & hold Deshuan Foster & the bruins to -12 yards. In the 2001 season my dad started taking me to the fall practices. We'd go about 2-3 times a week & thats when I got absolutely hooked on Duck Football. I got to know some of the players, got about 1000 autographs, & I actually had every player on the roster memorized & could recognize most of them. We got season tickets in for the 2004 season, I think, and I've been going to just about every home game since then. At this point in life my world consists of God & the Ducks.

Re: Introduce yourself thread
My name's Eric and I'm a duckaholic.
Originally from Newport, I graduated from the O in '97 with a sports marketing degree and moved to Colorador Springs, CO in '98 to work in minor league baseball. After spending a year intening with a team in Colorado I moved to Birmingham in the fall of '98 to work for the Birmingham Barons. I've been here ever since and love the area. I met my wife here and we've got 2 kids. My son Caden just turned 5 and is quickly becoming a proud Ducks fan, next up will be making sure my 5 month old daugher Ciara feels the same way about things. The wife is a Kentucky fan so we've reached an agreement, the kids can be fans of Duck football and Kentucky basektball!
As I've said before, for a Duck fan surrounded by SEC fans, this board is like a lifeline...it keeps me sane!

Re: Introduce yourself thread
I'm Steve. I currently live in Casper, Wyoming. I work for Weatherford International, an oil field services company. If a drilling company needs something, we provide it. I am a Tech II and work on seperation and compressed air/nitrogen drilling packages all over the United States. (I'm currently working in middle upstate NY) I was born in Eugene and grew up in the Mohawk Valley NE of Springfield. MHS '69 I lived in the Eugene-Springfield-Roseburg area until 2005. My father took my two brothers and I to the first game at Autzen when I was in high school. I've been a duck fan since I was 7 years old. I have 4 season tickets for football (since 1989) and try to get to a game or two here and there. I met Steve Prefontaine when he was a senior in high school and declined to get in on his "scheme" to buy BRSWest with some "friends", but that's another story for another time. My favorite teams are DUH! the Ducks, Packers, Blazers and Red Sox. My son played football at Douglas High School in Winston, OR with Troy Polamalu. I posted on eDuck since it's inception and on Duck74 before that. I found this board and joined it I believe the first day and love the fact that there are no beevurs and fuskies on here soiling the waters. I also love the fact that people here are civil and respect each other's opinions and their right to have their opinions, something sorely lacking on the "other" board lately. Thanks and
