Born in Boston, and have been rooting for the Ducks ever since 1982, when I moved to Oregon to teach math at UO. I was a member of the committee that picked Bill Moos to be Athletic Director.

Re: Introduce yourself thread
there all morons. boner wines about wanting a bill posted online and once it is, condemns them for putting it on. bayh "resigns" for a cushy lobbyist payout (see tom daschle, billy tauzin and countless others) and the media hails him as some saint, yea, right. joe wilsons face was the best though, he had to work up such courage to look like such an imbecile and be so wrong. it would be funnier if it didn't have such dire consequenceswoundedknees wrote:That pic looks like the House of Reps at a State of the Union Address...

Re: Introduce yourself thread
Agree with u TK amazing story,
My name is Gary and I have been addicted to quack since 1970 when I was sick and happen to be listening to the Ducks comeback game against UCLA on the radio; spent a good deal of time in Autzen during the lean years of the 70's. 55 years young, married 30 years and have 2 a daughter and son. I have lived in rural northern California since the mid 80's.
Graduated from the "O" in 1978, worked in Southern Cal' for a few years in the areospace programs at Vandenberg as a number cruncher and geodetic analyst; went to work for a national title insurance company when we moved north, putting in 20+ years until consolidation and centralization of the industry eliminated my job in 08'. Now I freelance the same work as a technical adviser and researcher in title related issues along with a number of other sideline work I perform, most of it unremarkable.

My name is Parker and am 25 years old. I am originally from Portland. Graduated in ’07 from UO. I am currently finishing up my final semester of law school at Berkeley. I have a job lined up in Portland after graduation so will be moving back in May. I am excited to be able to attend games regularly again – my dad and I have had season tickets for around 15 years (minus the past three years that I have spent in law school).

Name's Jordan and I am 22. I was born in Anchorage, raised in little old Knappa OR over by Astoria. I'm living in the sphincter of the state (aka Klamath Falls) right now to go to school and will hopefully graduate next year and finally move back home. I was a casual duck fan when we moved here from alaska in 92 and then one of the guys from my town went to Oregon state for basketball in 99 and I rooted for the beavs for a year until I realized the error in my way. Came back and started rooting for oregon at the start of 01 (just in time) and really became a fanatic in the lightning yellow uni years with guys like Igor and tim day and all them. Been making it to games here and there since then until this last year when I started coaching high school football and now get free tickets to all the home games so I make it to as many of those as I can.

Re: Introduce yourself thread
My name is Kevin. Duck fan since my freshman year at UO which was 1977. I graduated in '83 and moved to Seattle, then on to Scottsdale, AZ where I stayed for 23 years. We moved to the San Diego area about a year ago to be closer to my wife's family. I religously make at least one pilgrimmage to Autzen each year and we always go to the UCLA game when in LA as my wife is a Bruin. At least she's not a Trojan, that would probably have been a deal breaker. I've been to a most of the Bowl games since '89 and always go to the big out of conference road games. See you in Tennessee.
Favorite Duck Memory - Watching the Ducks crush Colorado in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. We had great seats but were surrounded by Buff fans. They kept telling me we were about to be introduced to Smash Mouth football. Needless to say they were quiet most of the game, I wasn't.

Re: Introduce yourself thread
Brady, 31, live in Portland, graduated with a BS in Economics from UO in '02 and currently work for a Beaverton-based company that you may have heard of.
My Dad is from Seattle and I actually grew up in a husky household. Because of this there is nothing I love more than road games against UW, it makes me feel so superior. My first ever game at Autzen was actually "the pick" while sitting in the visitor section. I am a season ticket holder and haven't missed a home game since I started school there.
In my rooting hierarchy I'd say Duck football is 1A and the Blazers are 1B. Also root for the Chicago Bears and NY Mets.
