I've combined a few different threads together since they all seem to be related to Oregon's finish to the Early Signing Period.
With all the rumored decommitments, it certainly feels like a combination of potential staff changes and maybe a reassessment of what the staff feels they need so told a few players their spots are longer there.
I hate to be the school that processes guys out....but Figgins and Latu were pretty clearly inferior talents and likely didn't progress nearly as much as the coaches would have wanted.
Who knows what was said behind the scenes but I really hope those guys are able to latch on somewhere else. Maybe Arroyo can take on both at UNLV.

I thought Latu was an academic processing since he wouldn’t qualify, not an inferior talent processing? Or so Jhop has alluded to in the past.

Yeah, Latu is an academic casualty. He's talented.
It certainly feels that the staff is trying to open spots up for some of their higher-tier guys and under-the-radar types that they've been watching and to get a better class balance at certain positions. At safety, Slusher, while one of their higher-ranked guys, doesn't feel like too big a loss since they've got 3 other guys at that position group in this class.
My question is where's Jovon Bouknight? I've yet to see him out on the recruiting trail making visits, especially with Oregon's current WR commits possibly getting close to decommitting.

Yeah, it's interesting. Maybe he's going with Arroyo?

On other sites, folks have surmised that Mario may not be too pleased with the fact that those WR aren’t more locked in and may encourage Bo to follow Arroyo to UNLV or elsewhere. Nobody can deny that the WR improved this year under his tutelage but the mere possibility of losing WR recruits to an offensive staff’less ASU isn’t a great indictment of his recruiting.
This is one of the risks with having assistant coaches who are such stud recruiters, the players commit to them as much as the school. I love recruiting, but this is such a weird thing when you take a step back. Highly paid and motivated grown men building relationships with, and manipulating, high school students for their own personal gain. Sometimes it's best not to overthink it.
I could see Bouknight being someone that Arroyo could poach. Young assistant who isn't as highly paid as our others.
It looks like the following coaches have been out hitting the recruiting trail: Avalos, Big Joe, Mastro, Mirabal, Bobby Williams, Ken Wilson, and Keith Heyward.
I noticed Heyward was with Bennett Williams in that picture, so that may be a good sign.
Has Donte Williams been seen? Maybe Arroyo was able to afford to bring him to UNLV with a promotion to DC?
