Now that I've seen pix taken in the sunlight, I gotta say I love 'em!!!

This just in: my girlfriend, who could care less about the ducks, or any sports for that matter. Thinks they look really cool.

New helmets

From that angle the metal looks good, I think it's the black strip with Oregon and go hard down the middle I don't like. From a distance it reminds me of the Hawaii grey helmet, and I have hated UH since the early 90's and especially since '94.

I think the steel looks really cool. Doesn't make you think of the Ducks, but as a stand alone uni I think it will look good on the field.

I really liked the diamond plates from before, but these will probably grow on me when we hoist that NC trophy.

there was white on one side and yellow on the other and the guy from Nike explained that they could change the color before each game to match the uniforms

I cant imagine using the steel helmets all that often. It seems to me they would have to be completely repainted/decaled after every use. The other Helmets would just be smoothed and painted but these have a specific pattern. More difficult, I would think.

WOW I'm loving this uniforms right now. I like the color of our yellow jerseys.. There's something a bit different about them, but I like it!

I've been so busy lately, but these new jerseys just made my day!

Originally, I was kinda opposed to such frequent uniform changes, but I have to admit that I'm really impressed with the changes.

No yellow pants is definitely sad, because some of my favorite combos included yellow pants. I don't feel like reading through 10 pages, but could someone tell me why the yellow pants were left out?

Otherwise, I can't complain.

I still wish they had yellow pants because I really like the green jersey/yellow pants combo. It reminds you of uniforms from the past while also being up to date. Other than that combo and black jerseys, the yellow really doesn't go with many of the jerseys or helmets.

Our luck with the yellow look (game wise) seemed to get under everybody's skin, especially the yellow helmets. I think they decided to take a break and ratchet everything up a notch.

At first, I was a little disappointed with the color green they used as it has more grey in it, but due to the grey uni, they had to matte the green so they can use the pants with the green jersey. The green helmet doesn't quite match, but that's just being picky!

I love the new unis - especially the steel. I like the simple design with the pants and no extra fluff. They had to strip everything down because extra decals mean extra weight and reinforcement of the fabric. Again, more weight. So everybody who is used to the OREGON down the side, etc. I think these will grow on you.

We are so lucky that Nike uses us as a test facility. Since we are all the way across the country from most recruits, we have got to have something to draw the recruits.

I was also wondering what the black jersey, steel pants & steel helmet would look like.

I don't get why the jerseys look baggy. Are they just prototype ones they are wearing, or are they the proper sizes for the players?
