Will Stein is an idiot. Why are we running with Dante?
Less chance of a fumbled handoff I'm guessing. On that 99 yard drive once they were in field goal range I think they were very concerned about not having a turnover. When they showed ground level shots you could see the rain was blowing sideways. Other than showing the drenched cheerleaders they aren't showing flags or many ground level shots to really show the conditions. From the high view it often looks like a calm day.

Davison is RB1, sorry Whittington.
Not sorry. You're totally right.

Great points OF4L. I think with Williams and Platt getting healthy now we will see them in the rotation more. I’m not quite as down on Mixon as some are and I think Jackson’s issues are honestly between the ears due to his Mom. If you’ve ever dealt with a parent with cancer (I have) it hangs like a dark cloud over everything you do and it’s too easy to just dismiss it by saying “football should be a welcome distraction”. It’s not that easy. Not everyone can compartmentalize with a heavy heart ya know?

Brock Thomas has an arm. Game was still close, got the first down.

Because he’s running out of play calls to appease the fan base. Everything he tries is apparently incorrect. Moore kept the ball on read option. Can’t expect him to never hold on to it in a tight game.
I overreact, but I still don’t like the idea of letting Moore run the ball unless it is wide open. Like another poster said, he ain’t Masoli.
Moore correctly chose to keep it, because the DL blew up the OL. It wasn’t a designed QB run from what I could tell. I have seen nothing that indicates he thinks Moore is Masoli, including his 2 carries today, only 1 of which was designed as a QB run.

I think seeing Brock Thomas out there calmly and confidently running things gives me concern because it seems like when Dante is frustrated and unsure it bleeds (no pun intended) into the rest of the offense and everyone plays unsure and a step slow.
The pep in the step and body language of the entire offense when today’s version of Dante went out was stark and noticeable.

Yeah I luckily haven’t had to deal with a parent having cancer, but my wife lost her mom to cancer when she was 14 and her dad was diagnosed with cancer shortly after we met and his cancer just came back and is about to go through treatment again. I can see in my wife how much of a toll this is on her emotions.
I’ve said this before and I truly don’t mean it as a criticism to Jackson, but I do wonder if some time away would help him, but ultimately it’s his decision. But as a fan if he stepped away to take counseling and help with the emotional turmoil of his mom going through cancer I’d 100% support it.

I understand Brock plays with heart but I’ve seen enough to know we need Novasad or Moga while Moore is out. If Brock starts against Iowa we are getting shut out.

These announcers are all smoked out. Two yard gain on 3rd and 17: "Great call by Will Stein!!!"

Ya no offense to Brock because this isn't exactly a fair game to show it, but the fact that he's next man up in the QB room really makes me worry .

I don’t think Moore is going to be out any significant time. This is probably just a nod to our defense and the weather. He looks fine.

At this point we might as well kiss Novasad and Moga goodbye.
