Jones is back. I mean, he's come in and walked the bases loaded, but he's back.

^ At least he got out of it.

KC Serna is getting pinch hit for Ryan freaking Hambright. How the mighty have fallen.

He did indeed, it's just a sad state of affairs when your best hitter from last season has been dropped to the 9-hole and is getting pinch hit for.

Two on, tying run at the plate. Time to be a hero again, Sabol.

Pulfer has 4 of our 8 hits today.

Edit: My bad, Thomas is up. I'm still used to Pulfer being in the 2-hole.

The bottom line: Oregon is an average team this season. Nothing more, nothing less. They make too many mistakes to be considered a good team. I guess I was just spoiled after they did well last year.

Ugly result.

Pulfer is the only bright spot going 5 for 5.

Agreed. They're young, and they do dumb things, and the vets have been surprisingly spotty for much of the season (save Anderson, Boer, and Pulfer). IF this team comes back as is I'm expecting big things for next year, but I, too, was spoiled by how well some of our youngin's did last year (Marder, Packard, Alto...). This year, the only freshman really worth his weight has been Aaron Jones, and the rest are really struggling to adjust. The vets aren't picking them up, and it's really just a hit-or-miss performance each night.

We're not a bad team, we're just not very good. lol
