HUGE win. As my rambling theoretical what-we-need-to-do-to-stay-alive post above suggested, this is a win-or-go-home weekend for the Ducks.
I'm going to really miss Anderson.

It's pretty incredible the difference in play after these guys stopped believing their own press clippings.

tyler is money. i watched him in high school once and thought he was good, but he makes kids look foolish in college. he's the kind of player where whatever team he ends up with (besides the yankees) becomes one of your favorite teams.

I caved and bought the monthly subscription. i'll probably only keep it for a month. no reason to keep it longer when I can just make my wife-to-be go to all the football/basketball games with me.

1-0 ducks, bottom of the first. zona had their leadoff guy on, but he got picked off on first.
going into the top of the2nd now.

Really lucked out that Zona's SS misplayed that, but y'know what? Plays have been going against us ALL YEAR. Glad to finally catch a break.

wow altobeli (sp?) 3 great plays in a row. one a high chopper in the sun that he lost til it hit his glove, one where he stretched and batted it down backhand and fired it over with just arm strength, and then another stretcher that he barely got a hold of.

arizona has retired 13 straight, and 15 out of 16. ducks swinging first pitch a lot. 50 pitches with 2 outs in the 6th inning.
