We really have no idea what's going on with him, or his family. Really no need to take a jab at him.
Well, what other reason would there be to transfer?

Wow, I think this hurts Pflugrad more than it hurts us. He may have started.
Time for someone like Cantu to step up and take his role.
And at least now we have more scholarships for this recruiting class.

Let's talk about what REALLY matters...Is his sister staying?

If he is giving up a likely starting job at Oregon to transfer just because of his dad leaving then he is crazy.

This would not have come as a surprise at all had he decided to transfer before spring, like Celotto did. However, the timing of it now is extremely strange and surprising. Everything that took place during the spring, from words to actions, would lead a person to believe that all involved expected Pflu to not only be on the team next season, but to be a contributing factor.
That makes two players now that have pretty much left as direct result of the coaching changes. I know Celotto listed some other reasons for his departure as well, but from what I have been told, he would still be here if Gray was coaching the defensive line. I'm not implying the Ducks shouldn't have made those coaching changes (I am very happy with Azz), just throwing that out there.

I hope his Dad encouraged him to stay. Honestly, where is he going to get a better opportunity. I mean, honestly, what schools out there are salivating over 5'10" 175 pound possession receiver. The theory that he's following his dad to Montana seems the most viable. If he's staying in the Pac-10, it has WAZZU written all over it. The only reason he got a shot on our squad was because his Dad was the position coach to begin with. This really hurts him more than us.

I just heard the news brutal like many of you I figured he'd have a break out year this upcoming year. This is a odd choice considering he was being considered a starter unless he saw the writng on the wall/heard chatter about him being a second or third choice come fall, who knows...
Best of luck to him!
GO DUCKS!!

We have much better talent to put out there than Pflugrad.
DAVIS
GAINES
DIANTE JACKSON
HARPER
I would rather see these guys attack USC,CAL and the likes. He would not be a threat at all to the top teams on our schedule. Too small and short, not going to be a threat at all after the catch.
Addition by subtraction in my mind makes it easier clearing out the log jam at WR, gains a scholarship for a RB next seasOn which we need much more than Pflugrad.

I think this will potentially open up more time for Cantu. He may not be as polished as Pflugrad, but he prob has an extra step speed wise and is just as good catching the ball. Getting him some action as a freshmen and sophomore could go a long ways toward his development. I wish Aaron the best, we'll miss his experience in the offense but we'll have other younger options that can develop.

Definitely a bit surprising with the timing, however the result is not quite such a shocker. I think he is about to miss on a great opportunity, but wish the kid well, he was a positive influence on the team, and was a hard worker.
But man if his sister leaves too. That will hurt!

These people saying we have far better talent out there than him... I would agree as far as recruiting stars yes we do. As far as a proven guy that can catch the ball for the time being will disagree with that. In some ways Pflugrad reminded me of Keenan Howry. Keenan Howry was not that big but if threw a ball in his vincinity he would catch it 90% of the time. We need a go to guy and right now thats where it hruts our team. Pflugrad can make the difficult catches as well as the easy ones. He may not have blazing speed but if need 8 yards and throw a good ball to him in his area we have the first down. The kids we have behind him right now are unproven. I hope some of them step up as we will need them to for us to have a balanced attack.

Wow..Keenan Howry, he is NOT!
As for Phlu leaving..meh..I'm not losing any sleep over it. He is an average pac-10 receiver that I hope has a great career elsewhere, but it is not a huge loss.
I am much more excited for cantu and diante and tyreece

I thought this was about football...not cheerleading. While on paper, some of the recruits look awesome. We dont know how they will do. I was hopin Pflu would stay cause 1. he is good and proven 2. his experience could only help some of the younger guys. All he ever did was bust his ass on the field so I dont see the need to take shots at him, his family or his talent level(which is superior to that of all the bashers on here). Best of luck to the kid. Just hope he dont come back someday and torch the Ducks
