Look at my roster. There's just no chance to get under the cap. I'd rather overpay and be competitive than lose a great young PF.

why is it prior to playoffs though? shouldnt it be end of playoffs?

Pretty sure this is to simulate a mid season extension.. There will be a separate free agency period after the playoffs.

ehh, resignings dont come available til after the season ends, going between the end of season and playoffs is a short window to resign, like to have the option to discuss offseason deals before committing to resigning guys

No Mike Smrek? He has a high loyalty rating and low desire to play for a winner... Oh well. Can't believe Newman wants a max deal either, B+ outside shooting and he couldn't even average double figures.
