I wouldn't exactly call losing to the #7 overall team choking. Even though Oregon had previously beaten UCLA twice this season, they also had an 8-1 loss to the Bruins. Their pitcher, Ally Carda, is an All-American who is also on the US National Team so it's not like they were facing a nobody.

It's not that they lost, but rather how they lost, they just didn't play as well as they normally do.

they weren't close to their best for sure, but they had at least three balls they ripped that were right at UCLA gals. The one was with bases loaded that the third basmen made a nice diving stop, and then one Carda made a catch to double a duck off that was hit hard. That one easily could've gone to the outfield and bases loaded or maybe even one run in, and plus Carda did win pac 12 player of the year.

They need a lucky fish like Juanita

Can't lie, I have a tough time watching softball. All of the cheering and props annoys me.

The cheering is tough.
I like "thick" woman though so there is a lot of eye candy for me that makes up for the cheering.

Through 2 down 0-2 with no hits. This is not the same team we've seen all season.

That's a really disappointing end to the season. Not sure what to say besides that.

kind of bad luck today, bama two runs on soft single that fell over second basemen's head and in front of right fielder.

Whoever wins this year's WCWS will have earned it due to the top 8 seeds all making it there. Only bad thing is that there's still a lot of SEC schools in it. I'd rather have Michigan or UCLA win it.

that's because the pac-12 is weaksauce compared to the sec. we may finish with a similar number of ranked teams, but most of our teams seem to live in that #15-25 region. eight sec teams made it to supers. the investments the sec have made in softball the last decade are extraordinary. it's become their sport.
losing to ucla in the opener was frustrating, but not wholly out of the ordinary. they beat up on cheridan hawkins already in the regular season. i know we won the series, but it took a 5-run 7th inning to do it in the middle game, if memory serves. the bruins played us really well all year.
basically, i don't really think it's a matter of "not playing well". florida is probably a notch above everybody else (though not unbeatable), but really, the other 7 teams are all pretty much equal. can't expect to run-rule everyone in the CWS, everybody's as good (or better) than us. us beating up on the pac-12 then stumbling in OKC is like mariota dropping 50 on everybody in the regular season, then running into ohio state in the championship. competition level is everything.

^ 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 (total of 21 National Championships) would argue calling the Pac 12 weak sauce in Softball
