Have to think Oregon going hard after another DB likely means they're missing out on Ringo and/or expecting to lose one of their starting DBs to the draft.

Yeah, Oregon didn't get Ringo. He's been wearing Texas gear, Oregon gear, etc....everything but Georgia gear. He's 100% Georgia IMO. No Oregon insider thinks we have him and several have said they know he for sure did not sign with Oregon. While all Georgia insiders (and many others) feel strongly that he signed with them.

I like McGlothern quite a bit but I'm not sure if taking a DB is the move right now. I guess it depends on who else we have a realistic shot at. I do think he's got really good potential, though. He's pretty fluid for a dude that tall.

I've been reading through practice reports and can't find anything about Flowe participating in this bowl. Does anybody know if he's been hurt or if he's actually there and just not getting any mention?
I did happen to see this vid of Noah though. Can't believe he's up to 273lbs now and still moving around that insanely... might be getting a little too heavy but no doubt Feld will get him right regardless.

Edit: just also saw in think comments in the link above that Barton Simmons was telling Geoff Schwartz to not get his hopes up about Ringo.

For whatever it's worth, there isn't such thing as "too big" to play linebacker. There's too slow, too little stamina, and too little acceleration... so we'll just have to see. I'm ok with a 255 pound linebacker if he runs like the wind all game long.

Yeah, I would guess Mase was playing at 270 this season.

Funa said he was at around 250 during a mid-season post-practice interview. Believe he said he hoped to drop some more weight to around 240 and then play at around 250-255 after building back up.lukeyrid13 wrote:Yeah, I would guess Mase was playing at 270 this season.

Flowe, who previously earned the 2019-2020 ALL-USA High School Football Defensive Player of the Year award, was presented with an All-American Bowl jersey in a high school ceremony and is listed on the All-American Bowl roster, but is not listed on the two-deep for Saturday’s event.laxattack22 wrote:I've been reading through practice reports and can't find anything about Flowe participating in this bowl. Dwight McGlothern committed to LSU. Maybe he’ll still take a visit. As for Flowe not playing, eh. He’s got nothing to prove, let’s wrap him up in bubble wrap until he gets here.

Herm Edwards with another big commit. Their class is starting to look really good.

Noah Sewell just made a great pick, jumping to grab the ball with his fingertips, and then looked like a beast on the runback and refused to get tackled easily.
