Don't see why not. Or else you're just having the previous team do it before the deal gets put through. Restricting it accomplishes nothing.

Same with MLE extensions.

Yes you can, the extensions are eligible to just the players who were drafted and as the Nets said, the other team can just extend before a trade anyway
