I also had this one circled as a game of concern going into the season, but I would say that they have won the games the should win and lost the games they should lose rather than hot & cold.
They did put up a good fight at home vs Penn State for a half, but they couldn't finish.

Same, but with Van Dyke out and their garbage backup QB I’m not as worried now. Maybe their QB will have a miracle game but I anticipate him having a few picks and ducks winning by multiple scores.
in the preseason you don't want to necessarily say that Oregon would go 12-0 and @ Wisconsin, the 11th game, 7th straight, made sense. But now that the season is in progress the L doesn't make as much sense now. Barring a complete collapse the Ducks should be 11-0 after this one and have a nice couple of weeks before the Huskies.

I'm still concerned because, over and over again we've seen it where a backup comes in and burns us, badly, repeatedly. Not saying we're going to lose, just saying I'm concerned about this game.

Yeah we have a weird history of garbage QB’s playing like Peyton Manning against Oregon. I can’t remember what year it was, I think 2011, when Cal had this horrible QB and he made this perfect touchdown throw on a crucial 3rd and long, and on the replay the camera zoomed in on his eyes and his eyes were literally closed. Hopefully that weird history doesn’t show up Saturday.
My personal feelings and thoughts are that the Maryland game was mile 22 of a marathon and the Wisconsin game is the last mile where they can see the finish line of this brutal 8 game stretch. I know the players and coaches are looking forward to the bye, I think they come out focused and energized and want to win this one convincingly before a much needed rest week.
Even though I'm at least somewhat worried about pretty much every game, and this one's no exception, I admit that my rational mind says that the Ducks should win relatively comfortably and I'd be disappointed if the Ducks were forced to "pull this one out." But I'll take a win by any margin, which would put the Ducks in the B1G CCG.
(Btw, I've noted some mentioning how the Ducks have a bye before the UW game, as if that gives the Ducks an advantage. Just to point out: UW also has a bye before that game, so neither team has an advantage in that regard.)

Dillon has 3 more games in order to win a Heisman and still needs what feels like that "Heisman" moment in one of these games against the Badgers, poodles or B1G CG.
In a primetime game this week, he sure has a chance at a wow type play to put on the highlight reel.
I have seen just a bit of a couple of Wisconsin games but the one thing that struck me was their secondary particularly safeties seemed to be above average hard hitters. A real emphasis on punishing the ball carrier. Makes me kind of hope we don't have to use banged up James and Tez if we can get away with it.
On a related thought, if we don't use James, spelling Whittingham with the more physical Riggs and Harris would be my wish but that seems unlikely. The highly rated Limar for two years now has won the practice depth chart battles over RBs who have looked more impressive in the small snippets we see in games.

According to a quick google, “No. In August, the NCAA announced a blanket rule (17.11. 6.2 Annual Exemptions) that will exempt postseason games from counting toward a player's four allotted games in a given season.”
Well then that's great news and may well mean we do get GrandpaDuck's wish to see some less experienced guys get a chance. I would imagine Dante Moore to very much be on that list, as well. I believe he's had snaps in two games so far.
