I think USC wins this one. Sadly, I just don't think this is the special year we thought it was going to be. I wasn't completely sold on Dante Moore at the end of last year, and so far I don't see much improvement. The O line is mid at best. The D-line was supposed to be our strength, and so far it's been massively underwhelming. Linebacker play doesn't look any better. Doesn't help either that our offense can't give our defense much help with sustained drives.

I will say that if Oregon wins this game, then I could see the Ducks running the table except for maybe a loss at Ohio State, and I do think that would get us into the CFP. (It would help if Oklahoma State finishes with a respectable record.)

That said, I just don't see it. I'll be cheering for the Ducks to win, and I promised my brother to not be negative while watching the game. :D I'll be doing my best! But just between all of us, this team just seems far too disjointed. Win or lose though, I'll still love my Ducks.

My thoughts exactly. We seem to have struggled in the run game this year.

While I certainly hope the run game shows up; being stubborn about it if it isn't working well won't help anything either.

Riggs averaged 7.6 yards per carry, Ball 7.0.

Who do the coaches rave about? Smith, who averaged 5.3.

Watching the rest of the nation, nobody looks dominant, every team looks to have holes. Ohio State defense is really missing Downs, Texas still has Arch Manning, Notre Dame hasn’t looked amazing, Indiana needed a phantom facemask to beat Northwestern at home, nobody outside of maybe Georgia looks “great”. This truly was the best opportunity for Oregon and I know it’s not over yet but a loss tonight would be brutal, not just for this year but for the reputation of this team and the trajectory of Oregon football going forward.

I always say the season starts when the conference games start, which is today!

The Ducks do so much better when they come out of the gate well. I want to see a drive materialize on the first possession.

Jordan Davison is a beast and it would be nice to see a few blocks and holes created up the middle, before having to resort to the outside later. This is also important to get the run going as Dante does so much better with more time.

Conversely, the defense stopping the run should help slow things down. I rather not see the Ducks get into a shootout.

Which Ducks team will show up? Will we see some improvement on the O-line? Can Dante settle down early and put he superb arm talent to use?

I feel like we could win big, but I'm still trying to figure this team out.

Go Ducks!!! I'll be busy prepping some food and getting some exercise before the game. I love the 4:30 kickoff time. Let's make this 5 wins in a row against the Trojans', Go Ducks!!!

So you’re saying this wasn’t the year to see if your buddies are any good at coaching?

I don't understand the squib kick to start things out? The kicking game has been one of the few things that has been good all year.

I'll take it! The defense is looking like they're playing with some energy at least, and they made some good plays, even if they were lucky to not give up 3.

We’ll see how the offense looks but that possession has me thinking our defense will give us every chance to win today. Stuffing the run and pressuring the QB is an obvious winning formula.
