Unless something changes, it's been said the throughout the recruiting process that UO would only take a high level QB and RB this year and if they miss out they aren't taking one.

Fast for class 3A/4A. I don't think he'd be that fast in college.

Are there any top rated QB's on the radar for next year that you believe Oregon will go after? I haven't seen that we've offered anyone, but I might not be totally up to speed either.

Pearson is a "no way" at QB due to arm strength. If you watch film on him his deep balls are all on a really high trajectory and he'd never complete many against D1 coverage. They just take way too long to get there.

I don't think he has the size/speed to play receiver.

Considering we are down to the wire and may not fill all of our spots I think we take him...offer the guy and see what happens! As far as he hasn't visited, come on, he's from Springfield and he seen plenty of our Ducks...he maybe just waiting for an offer!

From what I have heard, I don't think Tym's grades would allow him entrance to the UO. Otherwise I'm sure the coaches would have offered him but probably as a safety or on offense at WR. If correct, this is a prime example as to why high schoolers who want to play major college ball need to take care of their academics.

Tym will end up at Portland State.

I don't know why people are saying Pearson isn't fast. He had one of the top scores in the Nike Sparq testing, in the western half of the US. That included a laser timed 40 in the 4.35 range. And for seeing him play, he is very fast.

People don't think T.Pearson's fast because there is a bias towards California, Texas, and Florida athletes. Not saying he would've been great or horrible for the Ducks. But for most that haven't seen recruits play, the fact that he played in Oregon sort of hurts him. Granted, I don't get paid for my recruiting knowledge, but I've watched a lot of football over the years and I for one think even if he didn't work out as a QB there's at least as much speed and talent as J.Maehl and/or A.Pflugrad that could turn out a good sized WR/CB/Safety.

If Pflugrad gets an offer from Oregon so should Pearson. Hopefully we dont make the same mistake twice.

I know he's def. not saying this was a mistake...........
