I do question Kelly's closing skills though. It seems like every player says how "laid back" Kelly is. Which is fine. But there is also a time to put on some pressure, and hopefully he is learning.

I understand where your coming from with this but honestly, it's way to early & Kelly has had way to few chance to prove whether he can close or not. The reality is that you are going to lose out on more recruits that you get. That's just the way it works. Look at what he did with Darron Thomas last year. DT was an LSU commit, Kelly came in & swooped him up. Pretty good closing skills if you ask me. Also Chris Harper, Michigan made a late push but Kelly stayed with it & CH told Rich Fraud to take hike.

Way too early to judge Kelly. First of all he's going after the cream of the crop and the competition is intense for these kids. Add to that the distance, etc and it should just be a given that he's going to lose more than he wins. But the ones he does win, and he will, will be fantastic. Also, I think we'll see him start developing relationships with kids earlier which will help. This is after all only his second year recruiting at this level.

It will be disappointing because I wanted him to sign with the ducks more than I did Boyd. I like to reserve the possibility of the Ducks getting his LOI but I knew that there wasn't a good chance getting him when I saw who they were getting at OC. On to next year!

I have been talking about the need for Crenshaw to get more involved for a year now. He will get his chance next year as LMJ heals up. I think the team will return to the level of play that we had with Dixon and Stew. It was there for the last few games of the season. Go Ducks! Keep your chins up!

Well said mops...CK has done a great job and as mops stated you can't be 100 percent in recruiting it just doesn't work that way!

As far as 2009 recruiting, it has gone pretty well considering, we all have high hopes every year and aside from a few JC guys we are right on par with other years!

Easy people, speaking for myself i do appreciate the info. we get on these threads, but god forbid you might have a difference of opinion or if you express any kind of disappointment in recruiting or whatever on these threads! I understand some are extreme, sooooooooo again I'll say forget Bryce if he does'nt want too come here and lets get on with more recruiting and getting wheaton to decomitt from osu!!!!!

I don't know about you guys but mops hasn't been very accurate at all this season. You can complain at me all you want, blame the 17-18 year old recruits that don't know better, etc but the majority of the sources and tips he's posted haven't panned out at all.

Hey guys. Honest question. Why do some of you think you need to start calling names and acting like fools if someone disagrees with Mops. For those of you who pay attention to my posts I almost always agree with Mops but that being said for a guy to get called a dumb-ass and other things because he disagrees with Mops is a bit ridiculous. Mops does a good job with this board and I love it here but come on guys the Ducks coaching staff would admit that they do make mistakes.
