Stokes is a 6'7" SF unless they plan on using him as a point forward which based on his Assist to Turnover ratio probably wouldnt be the best choice but who knows.
Maybe with us missing on so many players, Altman may change the plan for this season and throw more money then expected at Stokes.
We need to land some bodies and soon IMO. I just dont think stokes will be one of them. Hope I am wrong.
Something that may help Oregon somewhat is Stokes has a big NIL deal with Nike. That's why many thought he was a Kentucky lean over Kansas for the longest time. Maybe being able to continue that deal at Oregon could offset any amount of money that the Ducks can't offer from their own collective.

Yeah, I would imagine the extra money for stokes would come from his deal with Nike, not paying extra out of the NIL if he were to come here.

Gotcha. Wouldn’t Nike pay him though regardless of where he went?

Oregon sounds like the favorite currently for Taylor Bol Bowen.
Would to have another big body. But would also love Chol Machot, need some more height in the Big Ten.

He entered the portal last night right before the deadline. Sounds like Ducks are a key player right now.

He probably would but it'd be so much easier for him and Nike if he wasn't having to rep Adidas gear most of the time.

But Kentucky is Nike school.

Sounds like they've fallen out of favor for him. Read a few things that Mark Pope is not well-liked by HS recruits, which shows in their #97 recruiting class.

I don't think anyone thought Pope was a good fit for Kentucky. So not surprised it's not working out very well for him, but I am surprised it happened this quickly haha.

Almost didn't believe how bad it'd gotten until scrolling through 247 Sports' team rankings and didn't see them in the top 50. Really thought Kentucky fans were just overreacting to them them not having a top-10 class.

Oregon has contacted St. John's G Joson Sanon. He struggled finding a role with the Red Storm last season but average nearly 12 ppg and shot over 36% from three his FR season at Arizona State.

Updated the target list/rankings and man did some of Oregon's targets/commits take a hit. Riley only dropped one spot but Meadow and Compton both dropped like 20 spots each. Mikey Lewis dropped from #65 to #95.

Landing only one transfer in the top 150 was definitely a surprise.
Our NIL must royally suck.

And somehow Oregon has a top 20 overall recruiting class when both recruits and transfers are added together. I'm really curious what their actual NIL budget ended up being to get this rebuild done.
