"Gone," starring Amanda Seyfreid. 8/10

Interesting psych/thriller, with a a little abduction/murder background, somewhat reminiscent of the movie, "Kiss The Girls".

I'm not that big a fan of Kristen Stewart either, based on a lot of the interviews she's given over the years. I am proud to say that I still have not seen a Twilight movie in its entirety.

I'm not that big a fan of Kristen Stewart either, based on a lot of the interviews she's given over the years. I am proud to say that I still have not seen a Twilight movie in its entirety.

Just saw John Carter (Warlord) of Mars and it was great (solid 8/10), I went in with certain expectations and it lived up to them...so the question is why is it failing at the boxoffice damn it I want a part two!
A couple of tidbits...they tweeked the story (but it didn't hurt the story) for his travel to Mars and omitted one of the main races (for part 2 I'm guessing) so I am certain they are planning more movies but if this movie keeps faultering at the boxoffice who knows....sad.

Wounded activists, really? I'm shocked! Aren't there better things to complain about going on around the world? I think they have a little too much time on their hands...

Finally got to see John Carter last night, albeit, on a Blu-Ray (Thank God for my Plasma screen)... Have to agree with the 8/10. Too bad it bombed in the US box office, I heard that it did ok internationally, by comparison, so we may get to see a follow-up, but I am not holding my breath.

It's suppose to be a series but with how poorly it did (mainly due to Disney botching the advertising), it probably won't.

I wonder how it did compared to the first Pirates movie? Disney stuck with that one through its ups and downs.

Not even close as the first POTC, back in 2003, cost roughly $140 million and made $650 million, while John Carter cost $250 million while only bringing in $280 million.

Just saw Prometheus, I went with high expectations and I shouldn't have while it was entertaining the story fell short for me with too many holes with regards to the other films. As a stand-alone film it was good maybe a 7/10 but I can t give this one any more than a 6-6.5/10 at most because it had to many misses with reagards to the other films. 3D effects were good and clearly they spent money on the film but why not stick to the original story line...I have a feeling I went in with too high of standards because I feel I'm being to cridical but damn it's a bloody prequel!

Thanks for the review, I'll probably just go see it because it just because like you said, it looks similar to the good ole alien films. I'll go in with low standards now, and be pleasantly surprised!
