My only quibble with Dante is he sometimes decides where he going pre-snap, regardless of down and distance. On that play he went to Sadiq, I think he was expecting a man coverage on Sadiq and it turned out to be a zone and Sadiq had to come back to the ball for a 2 yardish gain. Teams have been doing a lot of late shifts into different zone coverage shells to confuse him. That seems like of the last hurdles for him to overcome. Agree that another year of experience and that same scenario is an automatic touchdown.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 1:15 am
-Moore is great, and had a solid performance, but no doubt he needs another year to work on progression. He missed quite a few wide open guys today. In one play in which I think it was a failed 3rd down pass, Johnson was completely unguarded and was wide open for a TD and Moore didn’t look his way, Johnson was jumping up and down out of frustration after the play. Some similar plays where guys were open but he either tried to force it to his first read or just didn’t see him. If he improves his progression he’ll be the best QB in the nation next year.
I also noticed since Indiana he isnt bailing out the back of the pocket as much, which has been an issue for him since UCLA. I think his improvements after adversity show how coachable he is.
